this is not a shameless track specific steep angled advert.just really slack and relaxed annoucement.
for all the people who want the h+sons we have a few boxes in the shop right now and rest in the warehouse so they will be coming in slowly.

Why would it only happen to the black ones? If the black ones are Anodised that makes the surface harder. The white ones are just powder coated which means they have been exposed to some sort of high temperature (200°c)

I kinda have a story about this. Here goes...

I was chilling with Keo at the park over the summer and he showed me a H+son prototype he was testing. I was blown away and excited about the company. After that I kind of forgot about them until I ran into Keo again a few weeks later and he told me that the rim failed. Hearing that a bike part failed on Keo was not very surprising to hear. I asked "what crazy shit were you doing?" and he replied saying that he wasn't doing anything too crazy and the rim kind of just collapsed. Once again, I forgot about the rims thinking they wouldn't be making them anytime soon if the test rider was breaking them (isn't that that the point?). So, I was a little confused when they started hitting the market soon after I talked to Keo. A lot of rumors were spreading in all directions about the strength vs a deep v. I neglected to blog about them too much because I've been wary of the new product and wouldn't want to hype up anything that I haven't experienced first hand. I would be more than happy to try one out and test it for myself, but I don't think I will be shelling out any cash for one of these anytime soon.

I think these are 3 things H+Son can do to save face :

1. Drop the price of the allegedly defective model
   
2. Work on creating a stronger (heavier?) rim marketed towards those who plan on doing tricks.
   
3. Prove it! do some testing versus other rims comparing failure points.
