  • Dan you should go and get those beers sharpish I hear most of Deptford is being told to shut up shop right now.

yeah if it's started in greenwich already...

  • seems so

  • Camila Batsh!t has always been listened to and has an ingenious blackmailing funding technique. I've taken people (big wigs) to see her work and she's got them to get their cheque books out and write 5 figure + sums.

There's a strange medical model she espouses too - brain injury in young men basically.

  • where are you dammit?

  • where are you dammit?

Currently at work in EC2N, live in SE23.

Only a single post on Twitter about the Tesco petrol station, so hopefully that is bollocks.

  • Anyone want to meet up for a ride/beer? I don't know if I can stay inside all day again.

  • and where is the station? ec or se?

  • well after listening to those two girls on the bbc in croydon explaining why they were rioting i hope we can all see what we are up against. seriously no more excuses tonight. I hope all of us stand up and be counted tonight

    what did they say?

  • Lidl in Hackney attacked...

    And they just refurnished it!

  • Two of my workmates just went home early, apparently there is something going on around Penge.

  • "Relative poverty". Seriously WTF.
    I don't own a Bentley - should I start stealing from bankers?

You either can't afford to eat, go to school, get medication or you can.

How many regular homeless people were stealing shit last night?

I'm not apologising for them. But here is a very good interview from Sky with Dr Clifford Stott from Liverpool University on the motivation behind this criminal activity.

He makes a very strong case (in my opinion) for the fact that what's going on isn't mindless, they're doing it for a reason. We may not agree but something is motivating them.

  • I wonder if hope this will force a re-think of police cut back

  • something pengy?

  • Anyone see that last photo on BBC's piece then? Isn't that the pizza shop you've all been talking about? (Sorry, I don't know Pasquale or the pizza place).

  • and where is the station? ec or se?

    SE. Forest Hill.

  • I wonder if hope this will force a re-think of police cut back

The police are making sure of that.

  • Twitter says that the petrol station ~3 mins from my house is on fire currently

    Christ! That's serious.

  • it was against the govt (didn't know who that was) and the rich (that's why they turned on local business) In my opinion a lot of these people will now spout the excuses that other more intelligent liberals have already given them. That's not to say a genuine socially deprived member of society should know who the governemnt is and that even a local shop keeper isn't rich in comparison to them. you'll have to listen to it to make your own mind up

  • ^ this from clint, 15 yr old girl had no idea at all, had been drinking stolen wine at 9.30am, lowest common denomenator.

  • ^That guy smacked it. (The Liverpool academic, Clifford Scott)

  • ^ had been drinking stolen wine at 9.30am,

    is this like stollen bread?

  • Tesco's next to the Lambeth Accord building (also Esso petrol station) in Brixton closed it's gates and it's shutters about half an hour ago. Reports that gangs are gathering around the locallity and the tube station is about to close again.

  • just as an aside, did anyone see shooting stars last night
pure class vic and bob back to their surreal comedic best

sorry but the clifford stott reference above made me think of davie stott, one of the big night out characters

  • ^ If it is, can I have some? I love me some stollen
