I'm slightly confused in that McDonalds occasionally do a promotional burger called the Super Mac...I'm surprised that this was not part of their arguments.

I thought he used to play for Newcastle.

Yeah but if you went to court with a 90s trademark for Super Mac burgers against a place that's been called Supermac since the 70s you just end up paying Supermac for using the name on a burger even if you felt you had a trademark since the 90s.

"I'm rich, this Range Rover's armoured, fuck you"
yells Prince Philip at two injured subjects after ramming them on a public road:
Philip was pulling out and sadly his 97 year old reflexes let him down.

My commiserations to the would-be assassins, but a car overturning will do no damage to a lizard.

Heseltine failed to yield and injured someone and it cost him £5k:
It would be interesting if we have driver fines linked to income.

Why is Phil driving himself? Doesn't he have people to do that for him?

"He's always been very independent" says every royal correspondent ever.
To be fair he's also retired. Robbie's brother lives on the edge of the estate at Balmoral and both Phil and the Queen drive themselves around/walk around on their own all the time.
When I was up there recently we got very close to HM but she was going to church so was being driven. Another Range Rover arrived about a minute after with some very smartly dressed po po who were very keen to hear all about our walk around the estate.

I suspect that's the case. I actually feel a bit sorry for him, my dad did something similar not long ago onto the road outside our village and it required some reassessment of his driving abilities (as a former test driver/MIRA pass holder who is now in his 70s).

My Dad had to go on a course to learn that he didn't cause an accident but a 'preventable incident'.
I wonder if Phil will...

I have always despised religion, but I am still surprised at how much that tweet pisses me off.

it's a bit odd that you'd tweet a message to god assuming he's omnipresent.

Tweeting a message to god whilst believing he's omnipresent is like the ultimate virtue signal

Are we allowed to say virtue signal here? I can't remember.

God knows.
I think it was Mc Donalds saying that "Supermac" as a restaurant name had infringed on "Big Mac" as a burger and brand but they had instead responded with removing the Big Mac trademark presumably as a punishment for repeated failed attempts at tenuous links. Mc Donalds have a shocking number of patents and trademarks even attempting to patent the way people squirt ketchup into burgers, courts must be fed up with them attacking medium-small competitors.
