^Yes it seems he objected on the grounds that the Bill was being rushed through.
He's now lying low, presumably having realised what a stupid stunt that was and what a stupid cunt he's been. -

Amazingly, the UK is pretty much the largest exporter of legal cannabis products in the world despite the fact that we don't allow it.

Allow it bruv.

He was working in concert with Philip Davies, who filibustered for 2hrs so he'd be able to object right at the end. He also blocked a bill on attacking service animals.
A pair of abject cunts.

To make it even more "$£$(£(%% they told the family what they received "has no medical benefit"
It sure benefits the wallets of some people that make loads from medical cannabis...the same ones that are anti legalization/decriminalization of cannabis plant/thc oil.

Most cunty of cunts, but possibly not because he likes upskirting, although he probably does.

I don't know if that has long been done in the House of Commons; the first time I heard of filibustering was when someone filibustered in a US state parliament (or whatever they call it over there) for a record time a few years ago. I think that may have been a 'liberal'. I find it absolutely extraordinary that it's even permitted to waste scarce parliamentary time in this way.

Nothing to do with protecting the business interests of Victoria Atkins's husband, of course.

Found this on the Beeb which fills in the blanks.
What are the limitations of the current law? by BBC Reality Check:
- Voyeurism only applies to filming actions taking place in private
- Outraging public decency usually requires someone to have witnessed the action but upskirting is often unobserved
- It may be only discovered later because footage ends up on the internet
- It also has to take place in public - some spaces like schools might not count as public
- Unlike other sexual offences, people don't have automatic right to anonymity

The prolife DUP is awfully silent as well, they could have a quiet word as they have May by the neck anyway...

I’ve always wondered, if anything, what would be a good mechanism to prevent filibustering. Something like ‘no one leaves till this is settles’ Sounds good, but I would imagine there are all sorts of reasons why that wouldn’t work in practise.

A modern day, democratic legislative? How on earth can one or two MPs decide if something becomes law or not. The system is broken.

Unfortunately there is a bit of history, my local MP was briefly famous for his mass debating technique:

Glasgow School of Art on fire again. Unbelievable.

This idea is horrendously bad for e.g. MPs who are single mothers, a massively underrepresented group
Maybe we could limit MPs to 10 minutes each speaking or something? (Excluding certain obvious things like the PM talking about something.) You would still
be able to filibuster, but you'd have to coordinate 18 MPs to do it. -

Yeah shite. Sprinklers, anyone? Looks like they'll be lucky to save the facade this time around...
Reading to the end of that BBC article it seems that he generally blocks anything that gets fast tracked through parliament without a full debate on a quiet Friday. Not that he's not a gigantic arsehole of course.
