  • Just had a call from a mate in New Cross Gate...a group of kids are trying to loot the Currys there.

  • Pics of yoovs on 1st, 2nd floor roof breaking into houses:-/

  • There was a massive amount of Turkish lads on Stoke Newington high st looking like they were getting ready earlier, like to see them cunts try and have a go down there

    unodis.

now I know why there are always so many guys working in there at once!

  • The distinction seems pretty clear to me, or am i wrong? Protesting is about making a point, this is just about destruction and looting as far as i can see. Protests should be respected as a legitimate outlet for grievances because they're better than the alternatives, like riots for example.

The only thing these protesters seem to be for is the right to destroy and steal, a position that deserves no respect at all.

That's my point, I wouldn't call this a protest at all, yet you can hear the reporters doing just that. They're **not **protesters.

  • Talking shit as ever. Trying to make political capital.

He's just got challenged on that by the BBC journo and has made an extremely skilled reply to that.

  • it all kicked off in tooting last night.

    i wouldn't call it a riot though.

  • Diane Abbot's there now. I'm sure she'll sort matters out.

  • He's just got challenged on that by the BBC journo and has made an extremely skilled reply to that.

No he didn't. But hey, we've Dianne Abbott now, she'll save us.

  • I cycled home through Peckham just as it was kicking off...

There were hooded and masked lads swarming out of the side streets with hammers and fucking allsorts.

Saw a guy get his bike jacked.

    Was VERY hairy
    (the situation, not the cyclist)

  • sweepstake on the number of times desperate journos use the word "sense" whilst fishing for inflammatory rhetoric from from random pundits?

  • fire outside KFC on b.green road. running out of leccy on the meter

First time in years I've heard a prominent Labour politician talking some sense.

  • fire outside KFC on b.green road. running out of leccy on the meter

What does the second half of this post mean? Is it a punch line? Or are there really fires on BG Road?

  • Sky showing large shop fires in Croydon

  • Croydon. Frightening.

    Electricity on the meter?

  • Croydon. Frightening.

    Been like that for 25yrs

    and politicians being "absolutely clear".

  • No he didn't. But hey, we've Dianne Abbott now, she'll save us.

Yes, he did. He came across as caring and genuine. And I'm by no means a Livingstone partisan. Diane Abbott wasn't bad in the situation, either, and again, I'm no partisan of hers.

Anyway, it's a real side issue tonight what politicians and other bigwigs have to say.

  • Been like that for 25yrs
Never been but now its on fire quite a bit.

  • What I'd like to do right now is take you bad half outside and do it an extremely physical discourtesy, and then buy your good half a pint of foaming, nut-brown ale.
