“These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true,” CK said.
“But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly.”

A good article on offshore tax mechanisms (explains it in simple terms)

Boris finally saying what he should have said last week.
-
• #49985
he hasn't tho. he's apologised for causing distress - the cunt's yet to apologise for getting it so dangerously wrong.
-
• #49986
It’s a variation on that old classic ‘I’m sorry you decided to be upset by what I said’.

Labour want him to say "I got it wrong"
He won't say that but he has said he made "a mistake" and said he was "wrong" to suggest she was there for professional reasons and not on holiday.
He has moved a considerable step further than he has beforeIt's Brexit next!
-
• #49988
"I got it wrong" is pretty much the only apology worth a damn. everything else is mealy mouthed nonsense designed to distract from his rank incompetence .
fat tory cunt wants a fucking shoeing.

In mildly interesting Brexit news Parliament WILL be given a vote on the final Brexit deal before it's accepted. Davis just said as much.
Sounds like a pretty big concession - presumably to try and get all the amendments through Parly -

presumably to try and get all the amendments through Parly
Or to give them an excuse for when it all turns to (even more) shit.
"The shit show that we presided over for the past 2 years is the fault of the people that voted against the us."
-
• #49991
We got a deal, it wasn't our fault the traitors voted against it (even if it was catastrophic)
-
• #49992
Giving a vote on the deal, when theres likely to be no deal sorta means no vote, doesn't it?
-
• #49993
Yep, if there's no deal anyway then there will be nothing to vote on (and Davis said in that case there would not be a vote in Parly)
It's not clear what happens if there IS a deal to vote on and it's rejected by MPs.
Davis says the govt will then go back to Brussels and try again...
for real?Labour pointing out the vote on a possible deal is a kind of take it or leave it ultimatum
-
• #49994
Surely it has to be structured that a "no" vote means cancel A50 and break out the drawing board.
On that basis, a vote on "no deal" is imperative.
-
• #49995
If the deal is voted down we have no deal.
Also, the deal is going to be on the terms of exit- not future trade.
So whatever Davis gets must be voted in, else the planes stop flying.
Unless the vote has as possible outputs: revoke A50.
But- that's not up to Parliament to decide, it's with Europe. I imagine they'd accept, but that depends on how damaging the next 18 months is

A small piece of good news--although it doesn't bear thinking about how much energy it will have cost again just to defeat this one pathetic piece of trolling.
-
• #49997
Presumably he has to pay their costs?
-
• #49998
I was wondering about that, but the article doesn't say it. Neither does it say whether any damages have been settled on. Perhaps silence is part of the agreement.

The case had been due to be heard later this week, but after a meeting on Friday between lawyers from the two sides, Farage backed down.
Didn't even go to court. I expect the two lawyers decided "you're going to lose this Nige" and everyone was happy to leave it there with him "apologising" or whatever you want to call his statement.

I doubt that. Remember that 'settling out of court' usually involves some kind of financial transaction. I'd be very surprised if he only had to issue the statement and nothing else.
Is it the right thing to do? He's done this many more times to countless other women but has only expressed regret towards the five that have come forward.
He should just fucking disappear, that would be the right thing to do.
