Maybe he could advise other governments on how to avoid fucking up a developed economy by avoiding pointless referenda.

he's resigned so he can collect his trust fund, tax free and out of the glare of the spotlight

Boundary changes.
John Ashworth on R4 this morning was full lolz, trying to justify why some peoples vote should be worth more.
Is promoting a democratic deficit part of Labours party constitution or something?
-

I think it's much simpler than that.
He's resigned because he's not really a politician, he was just in the game for power and to try and become PM (and succeeded) and now he's set for life as an ex-PM for speaking and cushy jobs as an 'advisor' on the boards of various companies because of his network of contacts.
I don't think he has any interest in sitting on the back benches for the rest of his life. So why would he waste his time earning just £70k and having to serve/represent his constituents?
How many ex-PMs have continued as a normal PM afterwards?

MPs who support FPTP pretending they care about making votes more equal...
you want to save some notes? shitcan two thirds of the house of lords, if not all of it.
-
• #42241
Neither of those points are arguments against boundary changes.
-
• #42242
FPTP is about certainty of government and intrinsically tied to our whole policial system. There is room for debate either way on its equality.
Rigging the system so certain peoples' vote is worth more is fundamentally unfair and wrong.
(fwiw I support PR)

Because you're doing exactly the type of thing Tory's do in the comments section of a story about the economy.
You're bringing up other points that aren't connected to try down play the dishonesty of the party you root for.

1) they're observopinionsations entirely of my own surmising.
2) what party's that then? what dishonesty is being evidenced?
3) don't make your problems mine. -
