I think this is what has made it worse, not that any loss of life is not devastating, but there were guys on their way to play football, a chauffeur on his way to pick up a bride and groom, a guy on a motorbike gone to look at the planes... People living full lives gone in an instant. No doubt there will be far more casualties who were doing similar things. Devastating for all those connected or those present.

Well yeah. When you decide to fly a jet there's an inherent risk of that jet crashing, for one reason or another. When you decide to go to an air show there's a small inherent risk that a plane may crash and you may be somewhere in the vicinity of the crash. When you get on a plane as a passenger you accept the tiny risk of it crashing.
When you decide to drive to play a game of football there's not normally the risk of a plane crashing into your car and killing you.
But please, continue to make facetious, flippant remarks and deliberately misunderstanding my comments, it's ever so clever.

i hate it when people not associated with a thing are killed by a thing associated with that thing. that's the worst.
Nice.
As we don't have Rep anymore heres a large amount of Fuck Off Cunt.

maybe they could just ban risky manouvres like loop the loops etc
most of these type of crashes come after some form of cunning stuntjust fly straight and true ... and fast

terrible news that one direction have announced their imminent split
instead of one really shit artiste, there will now be 4 really shit artistes

• #36158
although a tragedy does it really require MP's getting on the kneejerk 'ban it' podium? I mean, more people are killed each year choking on peanuts

or by people crashing cars into other cars/people/things.

Or indeed malaria.
If we could ban malaria that would be gr9.

Noooooooooooooooo.
I'm going to have to lie down and cry all day now.
Does this mean a boy band will win X Factor this year to replace them? How do I vote? Is there an app? Where can I buy the calendar? Have the tour dates been announced? I wish I had the heartbreaking back story to win, I've got the not being able to sing part nailed. Maybe we could do a LFGSS boy band? One Transmission.
Feeling much better now.

Whilst internet news sources pull the videos the good old British press put "faces of death" screengrabs on the front page. Bunch of cunts.

On the brighter side, Ashley Madison had c. 30m male members and c. 12,000 real female members with millions of fake profiles maintained by the company in an elaborate scam.

Not that I should be at all surprised by the Daily Mail's complete lack of journalistic ethical standards, but why do they insist on running the Virginia shooting story with a picture of the precise moment the shooter opened fire on that terrified woman?
-
• #36170
because it sells newspapers?
and the entire shop is run by people with an essential part of their soul missing?
-
• #36171
I suppose the more pertinent question is why are they allowed to get away with doing that?
-
• #36172
As did the Times and the Telegraph - all front page.
Edit: and the Sun and the Mirror too (and the Star)

• #36173
I'd take gutter journalism far worse than that if it meant a press unencumbered by overreaching regulation and legislation.
-
• #36174
Hmm I'm not so sure.
-
• #36175
i'd have no problem seeing this sort of shit legislated out of existence.
Really grim. I think what @TurtleRecall meant is that it's horrible luck being on a road, driving/cycling and a plane hits you.
There's something especially fucked about that somehow.
