Phelps on his way out.
Some good news for a change. Why do people care so much about him and westboro? Its only a bunch of 70people with shouty signs. How are they able to emotionally unsettle so many people around the world?

By being massive publicity seeking dickheads spouting hatred . I usually don't let the number of people involved in doing fucked up shit impact whether I think what they're doing is fucked up or not.
Think about it in terms of the "one less car" slogan you see stickered to a bunch of bikes, but imagine the bike is the earth, and the car is this bellend.

When you turn up at servicemen's funerals with shouty signs saying that you are glad he's dead, that normally emotionally unsettles people.
When those pictures are spread around the world, and lots of people who have lost someone they love imagine the WBC turning up at their loved ones funerals with similar signs - that definately unsettles people.
Plus, and lets be honest here, they aren't the most....erm.... satorial... people you want at your husband / wife's funeral.
And those people who are happy to call themselves Christians don't really want to be associated with them. A bit like the fact that I drive a car, but don't ever compare me to Jeremy Clarkson.
Bollocks - they've drawn me in again.

They are just like internet trolls but in real life, the totally undeserved infamy & celebrity status is exactly what they want and enjoy.
I think part of their infamy is ironically a reflection of similar social/psychological conditioning which is neither fully rational nor consistent.

Hang on, did we just sign a trade deal with an unelected interim government?
At least have the Ukranians sort out a proper democtratic election before we recognise anyone's signatures. As much as I sympathise with the sentiment this just looks dodgy and opportunistic.

This is obviously a hugely important story. I can't believe that the national media haven't picked up on it yet.
