More here.
I think the story is only just emerging. Probably be all over the broadsheets tomorrow.
If you get 'renditioned', can I have your bikes?

No need. I'll blab like a girl - reunited with bikes in minutes.
-

At least he was guilty, unlike al-Megrahi.
Or Jeremy Bamber, another scandal that should be headline news. -
• #2380
Yeah, I've been reading about the Bamber case.
What a fucking travesty. AND they declined to allow him a third appeal.

You'd probably stitch me up like a kipper, you would.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/14/cbs-serena-branson-grammy_n_822775.htmlSerene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning.

Plausible Deniability at its finest, people.
Something doesn't seem quite right here... If it wasn't this bloke's story it would have been x,y or z that would have been enough evidence to invade. It just seems odd that it just happens to be an Iraqi chap who had such a pivotal role in the deciding factor, all for his country's freedom. The rhetoric sounds awfully familiar. -

A good point, well put.
Probably more intelligent post-coitus conversation as well...

I can't help but think that these places get ruined when they get awarded such accolades as the world+dog all turn up to see what the fuss is about.
-
• #2395
Indeed. Jonny-come-lately folk like me will hop on the bandwagon and elbow the regulars out of the way for my pint of mild.
-
• #2396
If it is indeed as good a pub as they say though the regulars will be able to order from afar with a nod/wink/bat signal on the sly and settle up later.
reminisces back to the times when I would merely have to walk past the window of my work local in soho and there'd be a pint waiting for me at the end of the bar by the time I got inside

The one show did a bit on helmet cams last night and seemed to be mostly balanced although gryff rhys jones who is a 'former' cyclist did talk a load of anecdotal bollocks by the end.
it's available on iplayer now I think

Grff seemed pretty reasonable to me, with a sentiment of "why can't everyone just calm down".

i need to re-watch to remember what it was he said that I though was rubbish but it was basically the usual 'cyclings so dangerous, people should be terrified of doing it' kind of thing I think.
-

oh yeah, he said he thanked god every day he survived cycling in london, and that he couldn't understand why cyclists didnt use cycle lanes that he only ever saw as empty. Not the most imformed but he's right that everyone shoudl just chill out and try to accomodate each other rather than insist on having as much road space no matter what

Can't talk Luci, MI5 seem to have arrived.
Outrageous, it really is.
