I've not heard the full version or seen the video but from what I have heard I'd have to say it's one of the top 5 worst 'songs' ever made

I've seen at least 75% of the video.
What kind of radio station would play this other than for a laugh? -

The resulting gifs are 1bn times better than the entire video.

So Margaret Thatcher had a growth removed from her bladder (tmi)

There are rumours that the growth will make a bid for the tory leadership before the next election

New law just passed that blocks internet porn by default.
FffffffuuuuuuuuuuPornography is no big deal compared to all those sites full of violence & gore. Kids today can watch fresh daily supply of execution & torture vids at the touch of a button, even on their phone while in the playground.
People sticking their bits into each other is no big deal by comparison. Kids have always been able to see animals at it even in the most pious of cultures.

Animals don't generally end up with a money shot though. Not without a lot of training, believe me.

I cant follow what is going on there. Maybe its just cos I'm hung over, but its very confusing.

Very confusingly written. In chronological order:
A Volkswagen crashed into a tree, and an Audi stopped too. Two police approached and the Audi drove off. For a time it was thought (by the police?) that the Audi had hit the Volkswagen. Not clear if the police spoke to the Audi driver before he drove off. The police stayed with the injured Volkswagen driver.A little later the Audi driver then crashed into a man and a woman. The driver of the Audi abandoned his car and left before police arrived at the second scene. No arrests have been made, but it's not stated whether the police want to arrest the Audi driver (i'd guess they do). The woman died and the man is critically injured.
They are now doing a post mortem on the woman. Not sure why this is the point that gets the headline.

I wonder what the motivation was behind the NRA's push following their "realignment" in 1977?

Philosophical ideology? I.e. the emergence of a strong libertarian wing?
My guess, anyway.

From reading that article it was a considerable effort to get the prevailing/official view of the 2nd amendment away from Militia to the individual.
You think that that was driven by a larger movement/desire for greater personal liberty? That it was essentially a symptom of a greater whole?
I just wonder why liberty and firearms seem so entwined- I agree that almost all the rhetoric coming from the states suggests that there is a 1:1 ratio between freedom and handguns.
-
• #18796
Yeah, to the second paragraph. Hand guns do not equal liberty. Gun laws equal a lack of liberty.

i kept asking myself the same question, one american friend produced figures that showed that less people die in such shootings if a member of the public confronted the gunman compared to if police were left to deal with the situation. -

What is interesting to me is that the NRA are recommending, if one takes their stance to the logical conclusion, schooling all American children in high-security Federal facilities staffed by armed guards.
That sounds less like a school, more like a detention centre.
But this is desirable so as not to reduce freedom.

Or they are playing a really long game, and they now stand to clear up in the nascent "Armed School Monitor" market.
Why?
