No, it's a programme where celebrities train with professional dancers for weekly dance-offs, voted on by the public, who phone in.

Can I just say, haloween, get fucked, I'm not buying your nasty cheap supermarket crap to 'have a good time'
Bring back Guy Fawkes and bonfire nightDon't we do Guy Fawkes too?
I agree with you about the cheap nasty stuff - whole aisles of chewy, over-packaged, e-numbered 'treats' and hideous mass-produced, plastic costumes and accessories.
And by Thursday morning it'll all be replaced with the same but in a Christmas guise.

What is impressive, in a way, is the capacity which we have to produce gigatonnes of shite for this sort of event.
Also, extremely depressing that we produce so much that is intended on a single evenings use before it hits the landfill.
I would wholly support making retailers responsible for the whole lifecycle of their products, including disposal.

Fuck that - he'll make Volvo drivers tax exempt, give tax credits to anyone ignoring long term DIY jobs and turn anyone who weighs their own fecal matter into a weight loss tsar.

in other news on the savile child abuse stuff
good news for timmy mallet
Finally, some good news
With more and more allegations coming out about a whole host of popular TV personalities, it's nice to have a little bit of light in the dark. In amongst all the horror this week, we've also been inundated with stories about just how professional, lovely and unpervy Timmy Mallett is. He sticks around after his public appearances to let any kids smack him over the head with his mallet, he always makes a point of telling any dancers he uses how great they are - and he reserves his cheeky chat for the mums...
FYI Timmy is a big fan of the Keswick
pencil museum. -

Met Timmy Mallet on a commuter train to Henley. Stood inbetween cabins. He'd helped his elderly companion into the firstclass coach, and given her his seat. He was a down-to-earth, and actually pretty witty guy.
If I'm honest, when I spotted him, I was all set for him to be a complete cnut.
