Have stayed here previously and thought it was okay . . ish. Fairly clean and friendly . . almost too friendly to the point where it felt a little false.
Had a fabulous weekend enjoying the countryside and have great memories of the area. However these have been destroyed when I discovered that the ever jovial Malcolm is a criminal who destroyed a badger set by pouring 5.000 gallons of slurry into it, killing the occupants and poisoning the countryside.
I had been considering a return visit next spring but will most certainly not be staying at Grange Farm again.Major LOL's!

Site 'undergoing maintenance', not accepting this review:
My family was enjoying our stay on the farm – wonderful surroundings and sleeping quarters were basic but cosy. However, we were mildly perturbed to be woken by the farmer pumping thousands of gallons of cold shite into our bedroom, killing my entire extended family. This left a bad taste in the mouth.

“OK but could do with someone sorting the badgers out”
Pending review"I stayed here a while back - the place itself was OK, but the immediate area was overrun with badgers. They were literally everywhere - my Wife had one in her drink at one stage, and I found one under my pillow - disgusting!
The bathroom showed obvious signs of previous badger use and was full of badger hair - it really was awful
So you can imagine my relief when I heard the the owner Malcolm had eradicated the badger problem by forcing 5,000 gallons of slurry, under pressure, into the badgers sett - thus drowning these disgusting creatures and potentially ruining a great swathe of land for years to come!
Bravo Malcolm - Great Britain needs more B&B owners like you to take matters into their own hands and unlawfully kill mammals - I shall certainly look forward to a badger free return visit!"

Why does everyone hate badgers? Poor things, they seem to get a bit of a raw deal. I saw Brian May having a heated debate with some farmer type who wanted to slaughter a few thousand of them the other week.

Ffs farmers have been keeping badger numbers down for years, they were banging on about this on r4farming today in 2005.

Tunnels are the new roads....
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-19799908
There already is a tunnel under the Peak District between Sheffield and Manchester.. it just happens to have a train track running through it.

Train track was removed years ago, it carries power lines now. Also to be technically correct there are 3 tunnels.

I think this is the big thing everyone is missing when talking about this story. Shooting them is a big difference, literally just last week they were talking about having culls in certain parts of the country.

Nice story on road.cc: http://road.cc/content/news/67748-french-100-year-old-robert-marchand-back-bike-another-record-breaking-ride
"Robert Marchand, the French centenarian who earlier this year broke the age group world record for The Hour, is aiming to break another record – this time for riding 100 kilometres faster than anyone his age has ever managed before."
'"I have never deprived myself of anything: not wine, not food, not women, but always with moderation... If I was doping, though, maybe I could hit 35 km/h'"

I really hope April comes home safely. There are too many bad outcomes to these stories these days, my fingers are crossed. Think they should torture that man they arrested to find out what the hell has happened to her
Great idea. Just the direction this country needs to go down.* Put her in charge.
*I know we already sort of did that

Our generation is desensitised to torture. Personally I blame the Wu

all the links to the haute la garrenne (sp.) childrens home is truly sickening
it seems like that was a well known place for abuse of the young children, day trippers heading over to visit for a day or two
those people should have their bits cut off and fester for the rest of their lives in prison -

They reckon kids went missing on a fairly regular basis, sometimes after Jimmy Savile had visited. Ted Heath was a regular visitor during Cowes week, and Sir Jim would collect 'well behaved' boys and take them for a trip with Heath on his yacht Morning Cloud.
Ted and his lackies would sale out to sea, drop anchor, and basically rape the lads from the home.
Jersey is a law unto itself, and the men in charge were some of Haute de la Garrenne's more regular visitors, most notoriously one Wilfred Krichefski, a big name on the island.
yup just put in a few comments on trip advisor
