So what's going on here then? Are the Kiwis that good, or are the French that bad? It's as if Les Bleus were told to take a day off.
New Zealand are that good. They're controlling the breakdown and out-muscling the French. Add to that the pace and accuracy of the all black attack and you get this type of scoreline.
The suggestions that France are throwing the game are insulting.

I thought he was. Just trying to fire up the rest of the team.
Seems to be working -

I agree with wibble.
Nz are that good.
Fucking awesome stuff.
I want a bigger scoreline -
• #730
That was stunning

• #731
It was.. in the first half their dominance was awesome. Towards the end it got a little scrappy but that performance should remove some of the nagging doubts about the ABs

Anyone who was entertaining thoughts of France throwing the game just needs to look at the expressions on their players faces, they could not understand how they were being beaten so comprehensively. I loved the fact that the kiwis were able to score that last try so accurately from the restart its tempting to say they did it as they were aggrieved at the way the French scored, not too sure about that but what a try!

I hope they weren't throwing it and that's their real standard - Ireland have to play them in the semis.
-
• #734
Both teams have to get to the semis first..

No shit?

textbook victory for the all blacks today, very impressed with Ma'a Nonu, Israel Dagg and Dan Carter.. good effort by the French though, just not world class and not convinced they will make SF :(

• #737
there's a man called Israel Dagg?
/strong

This world cup is going to be all about the NZ SA game.
-
• #740
Balls - it's all about the Ireland - NZ final, where the ABs choke like usual.

• #741
On a slightly more domestic note.. Great performance from Sarries yesterday to pump Leicester 50-25!

"...a result that will leave scotland with few crumbs of comfort in the cake-tin"
do they have these on flashcards?

Fucksake Dan Parks is meant to be good at one thing.......... Kicking well that was a good display you Australian prick, coincidence that we loose the match after you come on as the rest of the team has to make up for being a tackler short.... I don't think so.
Whoever looses next weekends Calcutta Cup goes home! It's going to be a Big one if that prick Parks comes on the pitch I may have to stop watching.
-
• #744
That's a little bit harsh tbh..
I'm not his biggest fan but he isn't the only Scotland player to blame. All of the (4-5) "tacklers" on the Argie try messed up and they shouldn't have been that close towards the end considering the overall possession/territory.
-
• #745
Yeah I know, I just find it very frustrating that we have to rely on someone so one dimensional who is so predictable. That last drop goal attempt being a great example, there was no doubt what was going to happen as parks was on the pitch the argies made a b line for him and well surprise surprise he cracked under pressure and tries to deflect the blame by moaning about offside.

• #746
to be fair, contepomi was a mile off side.
-
• #747
Didn't see it was too pre occupied with shouting at mr parks for being so fucking predictable. Wouldn't surprise me though some of the refs' decisions were hardly what you would call consistent, at the end of the day we didn't turn our territory or possession into the points we should have. We can still qualify however it is not looking good, on the plus side our group just got very interesting.
-
• #748
interesting indeed.. winner takes all.
If I were a regular betting man I'd stick a few bob on Scotland grinding out a win.
-
• #749
I am hopeful of that, its not quite winner takes all, I believe that if England loose and get the bonus point then they will still qualify. I have a horrible feeling that this is going to be one for the mathematicians and if this is the case our PD will not do us any favours. In all likely hood even if we do qualify for the knockout stages we will be up against New Zealand no matter how much they are prone to choking I can't see them choking that much!
You want a bet? I just had a flutter on Tonga to take France, this is a HUGE long shot I know but the French looked so demoralised leaving the field after playing the Kiwis and given what the mood is reported to be in their camp is like I have a suspicion that they may just have a shocker. In case you haven't worked it out yet I like my long shots.
BTW wibble, or anyone else on here who plays for that matter do you know any West London clubs looking to recruit ATM?

I made a £5 bet in the 2007 world cup that Fiji would beat Wales and ended up winning something like £60 out of it.. Made the game even more epic than it already was.
Depends what standard you'd be playing really as to where I'd recommend.. If you have a look here you'll see the leagues that teams are part of around the area. If you back yourself to play a good standard look more at teams in the London South West leagues. If you're fairly average, have a look at the Surrey leagues. If you're more of a social player, look at any of the teams around you, they'll usually have a few teams to suit standards.
not sure I'd be celebrating like that if I scored on the end of this drubbing..
