  • And go back to a drop goal shoot out? No ta

  • Here for that if it's done in number order, starting with 1.

  • You don't see that toe poke style of drop kick much anymore. Very enjoyable

  • Taking mini c00ps to Women's Six Nations, England vs Ireland tomorrow (gratis club tickets from RFU for girls mini rugby). Bracing myself for a great swathe of jeans & sheux...

  • That will be fun! I think the women’s game might be slightly more inclusive

  • It was kind of tongue in cheek. We went to Welford Rd a couple of years ago for the same fixture and it was great. She met all the players afterwards, as they came into the stands near us to see their families. The Irish hooker, Neve Jones, spent a while talking to her, as did England 8 (played 6 that day) Alex Matthews.

  • I know I'm biased as an SA fan but Chasing the Sun 2 has been epic, such great access compared to the Six Nations Netflix doc. If anyone wants to watch them let me know and I can share a link via PM.

If you've got any interest in rugby regardless of national allegiance you'll enjoy it.

  • Plz 🙂

  • great access compared to the Six Nations Netflix doc

Only seen clips, but this is a huge thing. The Netflix Six Nations one was a massive blown opportunity for the sport, IMO.

  • Hopefully Chasing the Sun 2 sets the standard for Rugby docs going forward, the other unions should notice the massive benefit it offers in connecting with fans by being transparent and showing both the rough and smooth.

The Boks are definitely going to miss Felix Jones though, he comes across so well across the series.

  • Flipping heck. Wouldn't fancy being the door staff trying to subdue Big Bill:

  • Has everyone/anyone seen the rumours supposedly explaining Stuart Hogg's early retirement from international rugby?

Still can't bring himself to apologise in his latest statement.

  • yup, a HUGE amount left unsaid in the reporting around it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/articles/c72pjjj819zo

  • Delighted the kids' rugby season is over. One last morning yesterday cowering in a constant downpour surrounded by the private school parents with their golf umbrellas and DryRobes and I'm completely over it until autumn.

  • Same. 2-day festival at St Neots - kids were running water/tees for the women's and 1sts games on Saturday and then a juniors and minis tournament on Sunday (so lots of standing in a wet field for me). Nice touch that the women's team came down to cheer mini c00ps & co on Sunday morning in return. My toes are still defrosting this morning.

Last ever regular season game for mini c00ps in the mixed teams though - girls and boys split at u12. She shed a tear or three.

  • ... season is over ...

Daughter's U14 football season last fixture May 5th.
Daughter's U14 cricket season first fixture May 12th.

  • Can't wait for cricket - standing in the sun and cancellation if raining.

Rugby was meant to end with a water fight and BBQ yesterday, rather than taking borderline hypothermic boy straight home for a hot bath.

  • I’d take a link if you have one; no free platforms to watch it here alas.

  • Can't wait for cricket - standing in the sun and cancellation if raining.

And bonus is that we can get to all of her cricket fixtures by public transport.

Some of her football fixtures have been barely accessible by car. Last week was against Churt who play at Haslemere Community Rugby Club which is 40 miles away from SW15 and only just inside the Surrey county border.

Some of her cricket training is still miles away though. Good news is that her secondary school sports hall is getting cricket nets and is being added to the Surrey State School Sixth Form programme from next year.

  • which is 40 miles away from SW15

I hear you on the long journeys - we have trips to Diss, Ipswich and Norwich next year!

Mini c00ps hasn't yet caught the cricket bug. I tried.

  • I saw the previous post, and now this, what is supposed to have happened?

  • Just when you thought Newcastle were a total shit show apparently they're in talks to sign Hogg.

  • Now off to France, apparently?
