I probably wouldnt, i wont lie to you... Hurling seems difficult, thats why i think NFL sounds better.
-
• #303
To be fair, Hurling is for fucking mentalists. I can totally see the appeal.
-
• #304
i guess all the running around will get us fit though. TBH, i think in the beginning the ball is going to be 1 step ahead of us and all we're going to do is chase it like dogs on heat. A mental version of grass hockey.

Haha you think hurling is bad, check out International Rules, GAA vs AFL, that's a fucking crazy sport!

Back to Rugby.....
....Martin Johnson is a joke of an England coach, between them, Johnson and Andrew are destroying English Rugby. Johnson was a great player because, like the worlds best forwards, McCaw, Hill, etc he cheated and got away with it, you can't do that as a coach. Why was he never approached by Leicester to coach, because he has never done It before and Leicester like winning.
Why has nobody in the England set up got the balls to say it how it is? We Have a at 9 through 13 some genuinely good attacking players who seem to have been asked not to attack. If I had a fiver for every time we khave kicked away possesion this 6 Nations I would be able to afford a flight to the world cup next year, not that we are going to be any good with no-nothing, gormless idiots leading the way. Armatige is one of the best runners with ball in hand in the country, can you remember one time he has run the ball back, it's a joke.
This week he has dropped Jonny Wilkinson for Toby Flood in the toughest game in the 6 nations. We all knw what Toby Flood can/can't do and he is not as good as Wilkinson, if you are looking to give someone else experience what about Geraghty or Stephen Myler? Flood is like Hodgson, he will choke and visibly wet his pretty white shorts.
We let our best coach go to Wales, this is unforgivable as far as I am conserned. On a possitive note, despite their loss to Italy, Scotland have come a long way under Robinson.
Rant over!

For me, Scotland were building nicely before Robinson took over as head coach. He can take some of the credit though because he was coaching Edinburgh when they started to kick on in the Magners.
As for Johnno - I'm not particularly a fan of his and didn't approve of his appointment. Especially considering the way they dumped Brian Ashton. However, I'd say he's more in place as a manager, he has enough coaches (forwards, backs, attack, defence, scrummaging, kicking) in specific roles which allows him to do that job with probably very little coaching himself.
As for the way England are playing, it hasn't been as exceptionally bad as everyone (mainly the media) is making out. At the moment, playing teams with such strong defence and with the tackle area reffed as it is (almost a complete lottery) it doesn't make sense to throw the ball around in the wrong areas of the pitch because you're more likely than not to lose it. In the right places England will give things a go and do have some intent but mistakes and a sometimes painfully slow recycling of the ball hasn't helped.
Would you rather England played like Wales? A lot of this six nations they've thrown the ball around far too early and in wrong parts of the pitch and it's cost them.
But for a settled and high quality Ireland team and a resurgent Scottish team, this match could have been a grand slam decider for an England team that is still building.

Northampton just mullered Irish. We got home semi-final v sarries.
Saints v Leicester final well on the cards. Come on!
-
• #310
for the first time in my life that would require me to support Saints.

• #311
All neutrals should support Saints, if not you have no soul.

I'm not so sure that is the final that will happen.
Don't forget that Sarries beat you and Leicester both away from home in the last few weeks. Momentum and a good preparation against the best teams in the league.
Also, we've got the incredible Schalk!
-
• #313
Yep, Sarries make me nervous. I was at the game when Sarries beat us and they'd gone from the most negative boring kicking side I'd ever seen a few weeks before in the LV cup to wide open running flair, and saints didn't see which way they went.
I would just dearly love to watch us beat the old enemy to the prem title at HQ, that's all.
BTW, that's OUR Soane Tongauiha taking your man ;)

Feel free to keep him..
Apparently his change of mind cost you guys a pretty penny. I'd rather have a player committed to the club than one who doesn't want to be there, I'm just glad we seem to have gotten something out of it.

Do you have a ticket for Saturday? My season ticket is in the terrace with all the standing away fans, Watford Boks usually bring a good bunch. I like those folding beer carriers they have.
I'll see your Schalk Burger and raise you a Courtney Lawes:

I'm not sure that's a raise but you're welcome to your opinion :P

Love Courtney - Hopefully we will see him get a good run in the team on the summer tour

I'm hoping Barkley gets another go as Englands No.10. Wilkinson has no idea (hence the kicking, as good as it is) It'd be great to have some invention back in the international side
As Malibu pointed out it might need Johnson to go though

easy hit
-
• #320
How easy do you reckon it is to time a run from 30 metres away to be able to hit someone full bore at the precise moment he takes the ball, knowing that if you get it wrong you will be lucky to get away with a yellow card?
That scrum half did Montpellier proud, they finished up in posession with a penalty.

• #321
timing a hit with the catch of a high ball is very easy, providing you're in the right place in the first place (in line with the catcher) which he was, and can move quickly enough to cover the gap, which he can. It was a good hit, just not as good as a lot of others. He had a run up, the guy was right in front of him, I've seen better hits, even at my level with a run up of a couple of steps and a change in direction.
