  • Cheers Bobbo, yeah been to those ones down by the river... We're not going to have long and I'm potentially dealing with people with arse and elbow issues.. They still call it the big smoke and get all rabbit in headlights...bless

Kinda like the english version of chainbreaker, but better knowledge of cultural references and by that I mean some..

  • Teams are starting to be announced for another great weekend of international rugby, the Saffas are first out of the blocks.

  • mrs_com is up in Leeds all weekend and I am still not playing so I shall endeavour to watch every game possible. Caught the Wales and the Ireland games at the weekend and watched the England highlights on BBC3. Wish I had seen the Scotland game though.

When are they all on this week? /toolazytogoogle

  • Friday, 16 November 2012
    International Match
    Wales v Samoa, 19:30
    Saturday, 17 November 2012
    International Match
    England v Australia, 14:30
    France v Argentina, 20:00
    Ireland A v Fiji, 17:30
    Italy v New Zealand, 14:00
    Scotland v South Africa, 14:30

  • Although the Wales game is an uncapped international. I'm somewhat annoyed that the Scotland game is on at the same time as the England one, it will make it difficult to find a pub to watch it live.

  • chairs

  • In fact if you ask me the Kick off times of those matches are fucked up. Surely they could have staggered the full international KO times so that you could watch all of them.

    this

    so annoying!

  • Temple walkies will play them at the same time so may be worth going there again

  • Actually, if I wasn't playing this weekend I'd be more tempted to go to the Springbok Bar in Covent Garden (assuming its still there, I haven't been for ages). I think that I am playing at home with the other teams away, this means that the club won't show the England game until the away teams have returned.

  • The bok bar as far as im aware has closed down

  • Damn, must come up with a plan B that does not involve going to a pub as shit as the Walkabout. Or watching it at home and earning the ire of Mrs Bobbo for repeatedly shouting cunt at the top of my voice.

  • the springbok bar is now an "Adventure Bar", so quite shit. Whilst a bit ropey, the Blythe Spirit in Balham (if thats near your manor) is a good opton as they have a quite a few screens and different areas and will play what ever you ask them in the way of sports.

  • Cheers hbmagpies. Scotland team just announced, I agree with starting Denton he is a quality player however I am little bit miffed that Euan Murray is starting after the performance that Cross put in last weekend.

  • I reckon that it will be a tight match and one for the forwards this weekend. Can't call it.

This is my problem too. Plus a 15 month old who cries when Daddy shouts loudly at the TV because Nic de Luca has dropped another pass with a two-man overlap.

You need a pub with a TV but without a Sky subscription. They exist. Best one in my neck of the woods by a country mile is the Manor Arms on Mitcham Lane (www.themanorarms.com) It doesn't advertise that it has a TV, and the owner is not a football fan, so it only gets unveiled for rugby.

Mrs Furry is at a Spa in some eastern european country or another.

I'm stuck in the house wit the kids.

None of my TV channels will be showing them.

I have clever fiber optic internet/TV, and a new clever TV screen.

I myself am far from clever.

Surely I can sort myself some Rugby action?

  • Step by step instructions on how to set up a UK based proxy so that you will be able to use iPlayer. This will give you the best resolution. Otherwise there are sites whose names or URLs I cannot remember that will stream but it will be poor quality.

  • The Bok Bar in Marylebone is still going. Similar to the one in Covent Garden and plenty of Rugby on over the weekend.

If this works I will love you long time.

...in a virtual sense at least.

  • Looking at that I only see one game on - ENG vs AUS?

  • Tunnelbear is an excellent VPN (as recommended by doubletap)

  • You're right, my bad hbm

  • im not sure why as rugby fans we all cant just pick a central pub and turn up. An informal compass drinks as it would be pointing at true north (=rugby)

  • Haven't been to watch the rugby there in ages but the Porterhouse used to have a few games on the go in the basement.
