I find myself cheering for the saffas for once.

Fair enough, I'll support anyone except England who plays the Kiwis. That mystical sentimentalism over their sacred jumpers is such a load of sweaty bollocks. Turns you right off them, no matter how good their rugby is.

I like their belief in their colours. It's cute.
I don't like the Irish wearing black.
That game was bloody.
The Irish like a brawl and the saffas like to go to war. Smashing!

I was wrong about the France game, they dicked on the Aussies.

Lots being assumed from the Aussie game. They wont be so weak for the Lions tour.
Total boast post. But I had the touch game of my life on Thursday. 5 v 5 on a 6/7a-side footy pitch. Team rotation had left us with no play makers, and several trys down. Even when its the expected outcome. I fecking hate losing. Scored 3 trys to win it, one even involving a 'punt and catch*', chased backs half my age down, and generaly ran my ass off. I'm a fit guy, but today is the first day since, that I'm able to walk without every joint and tendon creaking.
Totally worth it.
Really hope its mild enougth to play next week.
(*as a front rower, I cant kick for toffees)

Don't forget that in their last outing before the France game they drew with the ABs. There is still enough class in the Aussie team to punish anyone who assumes that they will beat them.
Congrats on the 5 a side touch rugby. Sounds like fun.

the autumn internationals always make me miss playing rugby. Scotland aren't playing all too shabby either
-
• #1434
this is a good game!
-
• #1435
Really good - this is probably the most stretched we'll see the ABs this winter, even if it is still a 15-point game.
-
• #1436
i can see scotland getting one more try, id like to see them get one more try anyway, they've battled well. Denton is a serious machine

• #1437
Visser is also a machine! Very impressive!

Had to tape the match as Mrs Bobbo made me go shopping with her to punish me for getting paralytic last night. I've got ten minutes to go and am very proud of the boys, we would beat pretty much any team (other than the ABs) playing like this the ABs have been playing at their best and have not been able to relax. I just hope to god we can now play like this CONSISTENTLY.

I'm down to the stoop for friday... anyone know of a 1/2 decent pub to meet up in beforehand?
Meeting a few lads from Bath and I can only come up with those 3 nasty ones near the station -
• #1440
if only that even made sense to me
-
• #1441
The stoop is a rugby ground... that better? It's Harlequins home ground.
You really are a walking facepalm generator sometimes

When I go to Twickenham I tend to get the train to Richmond and walk from there, pretty straightforward and better pubs for pre match drinking, would recommend The Sun Inn very good rugby pub. The walk to Twickers is about 20-30 minutes at a decent pace down the A316 so a couple of minutes more to The Stoop. If it has to be in Twickenham I would recommend The Eel Pie, The Fox, or the Barmy Army All of which are slightly further but shit on the Webb Wllis from a considerable height. Hope that helps.

It is understandable really as far as saffas are concerned the only rugby team in England is Saracens

When someones chasing you down from behind, and you look over your shoulder aim your palm at their face, then slam the brakes on.
Thats a face palm.

I'd call that stupid. Much better to change the angle of your running.
