So here's my touring bike. I LOVE THIS BIKE. I get overtaken all the time by commuters on Ridgeback hybrids and MTBers with big calves and football socks but this is the comfiest bike I've ever had. I'm sure I'll switch back to the fixed for the commute soon enough but this is mechanically perfect and such fun to ride.

No idea what the frame is. Bought it raw off Hilary for £45! 531 double butted. Plans for a cruise down the Canal Du Midi next month. And then the Brecons after that - fully loaded. So cool riding with your tent on your rack! I'd defo be up for a forum tour if anyone's interested? Did Penzance to Newquay over a weekend a couple of years back - really up and down over the coast roads and lots of lovely scenery... I really want to get over to France and the Central Massif - would love to ride over Foster's bridge. And I've always wanted to do the Ventoux fully loaded! Slowly slowly wins the race....

[QUOTE=Superprecise;1264422]Oooh, great thread. Here's mine again...
Great bike Josh. No triple though? How come? Is this your everyday bike or best? Upgrades to mine would include a B17 and maybe Blumells... I have trouble accepting that the bike is really just right and I don't need to do any more to it! Time for another project perhaps...

I really like Ian Hibell's bike, it looks solid with it's integrated rack.

Here is a flattering picture of my Mercian (actually the frame has a few scratches, original paint from 1979, so...)
Sadly the gum wall did not remain very long with that colour (all black by now, I used the bike almost every day during the winter...) A good spring clean will be soon necessary!

Good dredge-up from November 2008.
Here's mine, it's been bloomin great this winter. Luggage, big tyres, and a mish-mash gear setup that's been pretty reliable.
Ah , I brought that in 07 at the Glendene Jumble , when my eyes were bigger than my inside leg
Never quite fitted , so I sold it to hugo who sold it to youYou are right, a perfect Winter bike
I now ride a Dalesman with 32mm tyres .
Perfect for the last few months, but my daughter drops me on her Bobbin! -
