This happened... I swapped some bits about from kaff #1 to make it comfier and functional for me straight away.
Which means the old kaff will be further dismantled (as the pomp is being too, see pompino thread).
It'll probably be just the frame and fork I move on, I want to keep bits back for other builds. I need to unseize the seatpost first though as the seatclamp is on my swap list for this new kaff.

I couldn't say goodbye to Kaff #1, flat bar 82" gear runaround. Ratty / Anti but fun to ride.

Has anyone picked up one of the cheap Huntsmans?
-
• #956
Would here be a good place to talk about the lurcher?
-
• #958
And true :/
-
• #959
Bit late as I've bought it now.
Hate the yellow and black, but riding the bike I can't see it.

• #960
So where to go to ask advice, ask the stupid how fucked is the seat post, frame interface.

8 days and nothing. Any recommendations where to ask for advice about my first soot bike (lurcher)

• #962
Ask here! what are your questions?

• #963
So I have an on one lurcher, bought second hand. The seat post slips, how do I check there is no damage to the seat post or frame.
Also what seat post clamp should be used. -

Remove seatpost & inspect both? Is clamp as per original supplied from on-one? Carbon paste to stop it slipping? Tighten to recommended torque.
-
• #965
Perhaps there isn't any carbon paste applied to stop slipping. Not necessarily a damage.
Any sp clam in right size will be fine. Sp size must be specified in on one catalog.
Remember to use torque wrench.

• #966
The clamp is a quick release one.
Tho I did grab some carbon paste from Halfords, which I feel bad about.
Other issue I don't have a torque wrench that goes that low.

Where u based? I have a 0-12 nm torque wrench. Would bin the QR clamp with carbon? For mtb use might mean you should get a dropper post.
-
• #968
Think that the seat clamp is this https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/nukeproof-horizon-qr-seat-clamp in red.
So at a guess not from on one.

Notice for compulsory strike off issued. Liquidation imminent by the looks of things.

Blimey, not good.
-
• #971
shit! i wonder if they'll get swept up by mike ashley?
-
• #972
Not cool.

The strike off has nothing to do with potential liquidation or adminstration. That's purely an administrative step taken by the Registrar of Companies.
However, it does look as those Planet X may well be about to go into administration: https://caseboard.io/cases/7c9cda66-5c6e-42bc-ac84-06b024a9216f
Only this one so far...
