Loving these. Shame there's not a no-decal plain carbon option.

Planet X / On-One have got a pretty big sale on for the next week, fyi.
(this seemed like the best place to put things like this)

Great lights for 50p a shot has got to be a deal to anyone, after all who doesn't need lights?

they're a bit crap. I got some with a bundle and they turn off when you hit a bump

Hi guys and girls
Has anyone bought a frame from Planet X where it looked different to the pic on their website. Also incorrectly described; not having cromed drop outs and instead having paint which is starting to peel off!
Thanks

Have you tried speaking to planet x? I've only bought cheapo lights in the past from them but when I queried one not working properly, they sent me a replacement happily and didn't even ask for the old one back...

And still no refund from planet x.
Don't know if this has been resolved yet...

Whilst not ideal, if you can get Brant's attention you'll likely get a quicker resolution. He is on a few forums, stw is a good bet.

Just ordered one of these as my first foray into road biking, seems very good bang for my buck. Will dish out a review when it arrives/hits the road.

This looks nice. Not that I'm in the market for a modern/retro steel road bike (the Ron will do nicely thank you) but they're not giving much away on info before the "buy now" option. Frame tubing? Stem length? (etc...)

on one fatty, any takers?
-

Wait for a bits, lots of fat bikes coming in 2014 from big manufacturer, from Trek, Specialized, Genesis, Charge etc.

I'm very happy with it, changed the saddle for a Selle Flight which suits my arse and swapped the stem for a 3T just for aesthetics. I have nothing to compare it against but friends are queuing up to borrow it and all have been very impressed. It arrived fully built requiring minimal spanner time, just the stem and bars need straightening, the brakes, gears, wheels, tyres and cables were all fitted and ready to roll once you stick some pedals on. You get a lot of Ultegra and crabon for your grand...

FWIW the Pro Carbon still puts a smile on my face when I get to take it out to the peaks. Swapped out the stock wheels for old Mavic Cosmic then new Easton EA90's which took it up a notch too.
They are a marmite company, I guess I fall on the fanboy side still tho.
p.s. I skipped thru it but noticed a px on test on the cycle show. ... assume it got fairly positive review all round? Tester was happy with its descending.

I helped inchpincher set it up - the rear derailleur cable required a fair bit of barrel adjuster tweaking, it was a bit slack. And one or two of the cable housings are a little bit long for my liking. But the brake adjustment and FD were bang on. It's light too, especially considering the wheels. I was really impressed with it. Keen to have a go on it, haven't had a chance yet.

a week after ordering, Planet X have decided to actually ship my order. Thanks guys. Next time I'll just get the train up.
Or order a new rim from China instead.

Had one of these come into work the other day, nice bike but same problem, gears needed sorting out properly.

I've got to admit it's an eye opener, I struggle going back to the SS for my commute. Very happy.

Does anyone have any experience with these brakes?
-
• #448
I had a pair. No amazing braking performance and a bit fiddly to set up. But they look cool.

Should I consider switching the Ultegra 6700 for them? Main concern is the extra 120-ish grams ;) I know weight weenies >>>>>>>

Depends on your priorities- if light weight comes ahead of being able to stop, go for it.
Personally I'd keep the Ultegra's.
I dunno, appears there is less thought and care going into their offerings of late, overall customer satisfaction is down
