From Lewis Hamilton to Chris Moyles moobs.

  • MFF - Sept 05 - changed a bit but still going strong.

  • mine a puppy killer from this;

(even the tyres is original from 1989)

    to this;

that son of a bitch is lighter than the Bianchi Pista.

  • to this;

...Which is still being ridden daily (and hard!) by my friend Anna.

I love this thread because you get to see the history of people's bikes. It's evidence of a healthy community - yeah we all keep buying new things, but the old don't go to waste, they go to others, who then become enthralled in fixed-wheel. It's great!!

  • . . . not me, I burn my old bikes to stop anyone else riding them.

  • There were offer of £250 for my bike but I specifially gave it to Anna, even thought she only offer £200 for it, but fuck it, I rather give my bike to someone who really like it and likely to look after it as well as I did than to the highest bidder.

You got one ready for Wednesday night?

  • . . . not me, I burn my old bikes to stop anyone else riding them.

You even suck the air out of the tyres, bottle it, then bury it in your garden, i know. I've seen the gravestones.

    so that's what they were.

actually he filled it with gas instead of air, so he can light the tyres and blew it up, killing two bird at the same time.

  • @Tynan Specialized FatBoy's on MTB's FTW! :)

  • I went from this:

So he kills birds too? This doesn't surprise me. I heard he rides round regent's park running over squirrels, with hip hop slave spears on his clipless shoes. :)

are you having a laugh? 26" wheels, metallic paint, weight-weenie brakes, sun-shines-outta-my-arse golden seatpost, hard-as-nails saddle? you must be some sort of queer..

Watch it sunshine or I will leave your new bike next to a slightly warm radiator and watch it melt.

But yes you are right about the 'sun-shines-outta-my-arse' bit, I really need to have it looked at, can't be right.

  • Yeah I was going to say something but I didn't want to embarrass you.

  • the start of my first fixed gear bike. as soon as i saw it i knew it had to be mine

bought about 4 years ago took 6 months to build up, i was hooked the rest is history

  • it was this

then i ran it on single speed for nearly a year

and now it's fixed. though. the saddle needs to change.

i may have made a mistake with changing the paintwork in retrospect.

  • I agree! Why ever did u paint it??

    p.s. flat pedal fail! ;)

  • saw a fair few spots of rust. thought: "ah bollocks. why not change it?"

    INTERNAL MONOLOGUE:
"MISTAKE. FAIL. GO TO THE BACK OF THE CLASS.
    HOPEFULLY YOU'LL LEARN A LESSON"

    (pedals and saddle are changing)

  • i know the excitement donut!
    i can feel it.
i'm about to set about building my (hopefully) last fixed.
then I've reached the perfect 3 bike level of nirvana:
    road
    fixed
    mountain

3 Bikes, always th optimist Eyebrows! . . My ideal quiver would be:

    Road:

    Fixed HHSB
    Fixed Beater
    Full on carbon track monster
    SS
    Geared

    MTB:

    SS
    Geared
    Downhill
    Jump

    BMX:

    Dirt
    Street
    Cruiser

  • Fairy nuff! Nice looking bike tho.

  • ta!

  • this is my first, i wish I kept it really as it the supplyed some of the funniest rides( flat pedals, tiny gear and hills) .
But the cranks, b/b and pedals were never coming off so I praticed welding on it.
Cost me £3.00 and got me hooked
