  • What was your first fixed gear, and when did you build or buy it?
This was mine back in 2009

ha, my first one as well, with baby blue chain
wheels on these were buckling just by looking at them
I rattlecanned mine mine black only to have it stolen 3 days later
    fun times

  • You should have adopted Hatbeards anti-theft tape. It worked for his draft shite

  • Haha I did mine a horrible blue after the paint got scratched, I then out grew it and bought another one in 2010, this time the blue model.

  • It's still going strong Mick. Looks better too.

The cycling analogue to "Look how nice your ex looks now, don't worry, i'm looking after them"

    Thanks Will! ;)

When I find room for an extra bike, it will be another one of those. Lovely thing!

  • Just starting on my second: Black market Bikes NSF... just trying to figure out what forks to get...

  • oh this thread is fun, I will look for a picture of my first fixed when I get home

  • shit we all just felt the power of mergatron

Does this mean hippy has claimed Indra's soul for his collection?

    Don't let it happen again...

  • Cameras weren't invented yet when my old man put me on some ghastly gaspipe thing he put together. It never went in a straight line but Fuck it went fast for a 15 year old.

  • exactly as it came out of the factory, apart from a bigger gear, black lx tape on the graphics, and apple stickers on the top tube.

  • edit: turpe speaks with sensible tongue... Less hate, more love...

    Don't think that fit you.

  • My first - stupid saddle angle, silly bars. But hey, we all learn in the end.

  • First fixed gear bike. Built by myself and brother in 4 days, weighed a respective 9.4kg. Sold the frame and looking for a more permanent track frame for the autumn/winter ahead.

  • My first fixie. At least I never had bright colors. Didn't know shit about stem length, TT was too long anyway and I bought 120mm stem from Planet x.
Never had a pic of me riding it but i probably layed on top tube. It wasn't comfortable to ride. I had this in 2011 summer for few months.

Over winter I put this together, this was really T-rex friendly, 59cm seattube and 54,5mm toptube, nice toe overlap, loved it so much. I really regret selling it even thought it frame alone was around 3kg. It looked better with mudguards.
    Now riding my Dolan.

  • cudda been worse

  • Only been 4 month, basically stock parts.
