  • Earlier today, stopped at a traffic light in didsbury. posh looking middle aged woman with a buggy is waiting to cross the road. she turns to me and says:

"So do i go when these lights (gestures at green and red man) are on green or red?"
    "Urm green..."
"Oh thanks, i don't normally go out without the car so i wasn't sure"

you mean the whole red man/green man, standing man/walking man, noisy beeping etc wasn't enough of a clue?!

silly women, stay in the house! :-P

was going on family trip to alton towers with neibourgh family, blond neibourgh says, are there supposed to be 4 lanes on a motorway?

  • craig nasty in didsbury on a planetX track bike, nice one...
(that was me off out training in my manchester wheelers kit).

  • Ste this morning on his new mean machine - I was being proper thick when you said about bike boutique - blame tiredness!

  • Someone last night on a dark (purple?) conversion with a chrome fork riding towards town from Salford uni way.

  • loads of fixie skidders without brakes and foot retention riding REAL SLOW. i've been riding my war-time single speed shopper and i totally rinse them like embarrassingly so...how can they go so slow? i guess people won't see them riding their skidders so easily unless they slow down...i nearly gave one a hand sling

  • There's a fella riding a brand new fuji round curry mile wih no foot retention, brakless and always has his heels on the pedals. What a tool.

nes have you used that coaster hub wheel?
if not could i have it? if your using it its fine

    and Rory this morning!

  • Outside sainsburys...

craig twiddling past on his polo bike. Lilac baj. A bloke on a clean black bike with bullhorns, seen his bike a few times. And loads of folk on unconvincing conversions or unipacks ...

  • clean black bike with bulls probbaly not me... mine's filthy!

  • the amount of clueless smucks riding fixed around the Fallowfield area is shocking. No foot retention, useless brakes if any at all, massive gearing.

Urgh, I might make a little A5 'sort your bike out' flyer and stick them in peoples spokes. Maybe a check list of brakes/foot retention/chain-line and tension/sizing/ lights ect.

  • A few weeks ago a boy from revs had a ride on my bmx after work and while riding around sat down with his knees at his neck utters the words "I like it, it only has one brake and one gear; is it a fixie?"

    The fix-wheel apocalypse is coming

  • I thought 'cross was going to eclipse us on the cool radar?!

  • Pink and white Rourke nailing it down Chorlton Rd last night

  • a gaggle of tragic conversions in the northern quarter today

  • Is that the correct collective term? I'll remember that....

  • whizzing down oxford road - full time trial bars, wheels etc. but baggy hoody and trousers definitely making up for an aero gains from the bike....

  • Someone wheeling a brand spanking new fuji track next to Manchester Uni on Sunday, I waved but you looked blank. THE BIKE, THE BIKE MATE.

  • whizzing down oxford road - full time trial bars, wheels etc. but baggy hoody and trousers definitely making up for an aero gains from the bike....

also seen, to be fair he does ride very fast!

  • yeah I just thought if you're that into aero you might want to put some lycra on or something - he looks like he's just knicked it! hahaha

  • Did he look like this? aero + no lycra content.

  • martin moscrop from a certain ratio. one of my favourite bands. ever.

sorted him out with a quote for a sirrus elite. very suave...

  • Did he look like this? aero + no lycra content.

No.. that fella in the pic looks far cooler. It's the 'tache.

For those in the know Operation Jam Jar became Operation Jackson 5 but other than that went reall well!
