Best I've done is riding along the pavement straight towards the sun and hitting the inside of a car door which had been open for 10 minutes. I was about 8 years old I think.

Somehow I've never had any collisions with cars, despite riding around massively drunk for most of the last year.

Salman did come completely to the rescue! What a top gent. The cranks are now installed, and that might have been me (fat tubed alu Fuji Track rather than a skinny Track, black everything) in Rusholme, delivering leftist literature and marvelling at the stiffness*.
