  • It’s so cold you need those gloves but you’ve got bare knees?

Do you hate them or something?

    Don't forget that he's a bit of a mechanical vandal. :)

  • Those ones don’t really work with screens that well but I think some models do.

  • I like to wear shorts as much as possible but I admitted defeat and started covering them after that morning.

  • Cheers.

    Just bought these for £3.49.

From the initial ride home they were great. Also worked with my iPhone touchscreen within a waterproof case.

  • Good work, Site are fairly similar to Towa and def do the job.

Please don’t buy your gloves from Screwfix tho everyone- they really take the piss on price for things like that. If you want a bricks and mortar shop then Arco is great(on most industrial estates).
I buy my gloves by the dozen to be fair so may be less of an issue for most on here!

I popped into the Park Royal branch yesterday, looking for 'Cut-Proof' gloves, (after losing out to old Gorse on a Conservation weekend away).
Walked away with Gripz, marked down from £11.79 to £3.08.

    Rep @edmundro

Arrived today, useful gloves, but won't do for the cold for me. You are made of hardier stuff than me

  • I think these gloves are cute.
Does anyone own a pair. Are they functional too?

  • Off to make some with reflective cunt and taxi on the fingers tattoo style or maybe just a reflective back of hand and middle finger.

  • What's the next step up from defeet merino? I don't want mega bulky. There must be a tight weave wool glove, perhaps with a lining material, suitable for cold dry days like today.

  • I do like my Seal Skinz Ultra grips.

They are waterproof, but look a bit like wool gloves. Like their socks. They get sweaty if it's too warm, but those days when its hovering around zero, they are great.

I get cold hands so pair them with silk liners for the depths of winter.

  • great gloves, only gripe is dried up phlegm looks quite visible on these

  • Hides the other dried up phlegm nicely tho

  • Just claim they are your wanking gloves

I got a pair of these. Well impressed with them for the price. Well made and toasty.

  • I prefer the defeet to these unless it's raining lots. If you put them on cold, like after a stop outside, or if it's actual fucking cold they're useless, the membrane seems to freeze and stay cold, also they're way sweatier if it's a bit too warm. Unless it's pissing it down the defeet are better across a much bigger temperature range.

  • Wore my Rapha Deep Winter gloves (the ones on sale on Wiggle) for the first time today. 2°, constant drizzle with some spells of light rain for 3 and a bit hours.

They never soaked through and kept my hands toasty warm but not too hot.

They're quite bulky and roomy but when your hands are in contact with the bars or hoods they don't actually feel obtrusive or cumbersome. However, I was riding fixed; if you're using gears or Di2 then they're probably a massive PITA.

  • I have used them with Di2, they are amazing .. somehow @youramericanlover hated them

  • Cool, no need to worry when I change bikes then.

I thought they'd be overkill today but they weren't and they're much more convenient at stops instead of faffing around with liners and gloves.

  • I got stung on the sizing I think. The small in Black were too big, but didn't have XS black. So I got the XS in pink and they were crazy tight, like stuffing my hand into a ballet shoe. So I gave up and returned them.

I was just going to go to the Spitalfields shop to pick up a pair full retail but it was after 4pm when I went and they had stopped serving coffee SO WHAT WAS THE MOTHERFUCKING POINT and I left gloveless.

  • The pink ones remind me of 80's ski gloves. I wanted the pink ones but I'm nowhere near cool enough to be able to pull off that look.

  • Gone a bit cold again so was wearing the Dissent 133 gloves with the liner, insulator and softshell layer. Was too warm so I'll try just the softshell and liner layers.

if you want something between no gloves and sweaty hands inside duvet like full winter gloves these are good at keeping the bite out of the cold - they are not fully waterproof though - wore them on a long ride in very wet snowy weather last winter and after a time they became saturated and it took a good few weeks to recover sensation in the tips of some fingers.

orange is nice for waving at people

  • Was considering spending a lot of money on some really nice winter gloves but then figured i wouldn't get that much use of them and/or would probably lose them. Settled on these from Decathlon and so far I'm happy with them
