I'm from cork but live in London, was up in Dublin over Christmas. I can see why you'd want to leave, I paid 5.40 for a pint of Guinness and i couldn't buy cans after 10pm, How did you let this happen?

Going there in 3 weeks, looking forward to getting 1 pint out of 10 euros!!!

Ive been there 3 weeks of every summer for 14 years and only seen one FG/SS.
Is there a chance it was one of you, or is the trend as popular there as it is here? -

It's the bloody government.... we need a bloody coup to get back to proper drinking.... however, am enjoying the strong euro and the sense of value that can be found enjoying Northern Irelands hostelries (and the ones in London too when I'm over there!)

FG/SS has gotten quite popular over here now alright, most of "Dublins Expensive Dublins" couriers ride fixed now, some cracking bikes too...
@Rosmal
Unlikely it was me...when did you see someone? I've only been riding about a year...Dublin is really really over-priced... for everything...
Drink Guinness though, cheaper than everything else over here, recession pints ;) <€5
Finally... yes it is really irritating that our Pubs close earlier now and that we can't buy booze as late... What can you do though... they think it'll make people drink less??

The only one i had ever seen was at the needle, city centre,
was last summer though, white track frame(not sure what make but track dropouts), flat bars, black grips, black open pros (i think). -

Did he have dreads??

Dunno, i was too busy looking at his bike.
^^^^^^^^^^^For serious

Not me then, I was on a blue paddy wagon for most of last summer, and a Langster after that (until my Mercian is finished in the next couple of weeks that is!)
-

Heh heh, sounds familiar though, I've seen a bike really like what you've described around town a few times, Dublin's not a bad place to ride though!! Howth is especially lovely as is Killiney/Dalkey direction, stick to the coast and head North or South and it's all good (North Coast road is in a shocking state though, potholes like craters there are!!)

Yeah I was on my Fort in BRG mode last summer, going to be rocking purple sparkle this summer though :D

I might bring my bike over this summer,
but it seems i might be in Mullingar, w.meath for 2 out of the 3 weeks. -

Ouch... that should be... interesting... ;) Bring your bike anyways, I'd imagine you'll still find yourself in Dublin a lot!
I'm sure someone would stow it away for you if you wanted to leave it in Dublin either?
