  • I'd like to once again mention that this works really well with a Miche Primato rear (The hub is asymmetric, like a standard racingwheel)

Never seen anyone else lace a track-wheel like that though..

  • go to Jos's, he has about 20 rear racing wheels like that ;)

  • ... it's karma. you tell me what i need to know and i'll divulge details of the nitto drops i don't need any more, with a slight scratch on, which means i'll be easily guilted into selling them dirt cheap. karma, my friends, karma.

  • Nitto drops you say . . . Hmmmm!

  • 700x23

  • Yeah, tee hee, i'm soooo, like, totally stoopid, they're all bent over and wiggly, these handle bars, why would anyone want them, with the funny, cute little NJS thingy on... my boyfriend said, to like, totally, get a good price on this four um thing, but i'm like, rigggght!!!! They're bent Brad, nobody, gonna like want them. He's sooooo like totally stupid.

  • I'll do it for £3 in 30 seconds. Just email me through the hub and rim and I email you the finished wheel back.

Lots and lots of racing-wheels have radial on the non-drive side.. I do know that :)

  • vintage track wheels ;)

  • Fuck off Murt! (damn my shoddy thread title!)

  • vintage track wheels ;)

Ah.. cool.. :) It seems like a obvious way to lace such a hub, so it would be weird if nobody did it..

  • How about radial on the drive, crossed on the non? Chris Juden (ctc) says thats the 'right' way round. But then he probably wears sandals.

  • are you not supposed to put radial on the drive??
    but can do crossed/drive
    rad/non-grive

  • rad/non-grive

i think murt's just invented a new music genre...

  • well I was thinking about this for my mercian, and heard this is in fact 'right' from this dude. What can I say. I like good, boring, argument.

  • i think murt's just invented a new music genre...

hehe, was gonna edit, don't think i will now

    rad/non-grive™

  • Non-grive is like old grive music, but without the grive, giving it a whole new sound!

It's what the kids listen to these days.

    madness.

quite simply, don't use radial on either side of a fixed rear hub, esp for road use.

edit: for the benefit of idiots, I mean a hub that is designed more for cross lacing, such as the most common 32 or 36 hole

  • I can see how radial is not good for your rear wheel due to the stresses etc. But is it strong for the front? There seems to be some differing opinions on this!

  • madness.

wank!!! all modern lightweight plastic hub 20 odd spoke rear wheels are like this!

  • I don't know of anyone's radial front wheel failing with road use..

    but then time will tell

  • wank!!! all modern lightweight plastic hub 20 odd spoke rear wheels are like this!

er, yes, but the OP is all about his hub which isn't a modern "plastic hub"

    you're such a cock sometimes

  • oh yeah, arrospok are radial too dale, you cretin

  • you're such a cock sometimes

    whad ya mean "sometimes"??
