  • Polo on bikes eh? You crazy kids, what will you come up with next?

  • Not a sensible idea. They get sharp as they wear down and weigh far too much.

Can you stop with your heavy mallet and i'll give you that ski poll what gabes gave me. deal? i have tube round mine... you can have that too.

  • +1

  • Ray, I was thinking about another mallet so I'll definitely take you up on that. I love the one I have but need a lighter one for faster paced games.

  • object...yours. The thing is... it like gabes...is bent!

  • I don't want it then. There's enough bent things in my life. Like you for instance.

  • ok...when do you wanna pick it up. txt me up...? im going the bent ones at about 7ish to pick up one of those tyres.

  • How bent is it? Are we talking visitors to it's house accidentally die in the swimming pool with massive anal trauma bent, or is it more slightly limp wrist but generally quite masculine bent?

  • the latter.

  • I'll take it then. You playing tomorrow night?

  • hmm... no only gonna play wed. and sat. this week.

  • Okay. Can you bring it on Saturday please?

funny cunt. Sorry i don't do this repping bollox so you just get one of these :)

  • That's all I need Skoota, even if you do insist on a smily face

  • Okay. Can you bring it on Saturday please?

whats your movements this week then, tuesday i can drop off the ski pole at the court...if yer want?

  • No idea to be honest. Fancy a week of sorting some things out so it'll probably be polo whatever days you play then quiet nights in between.

  • ...

  • Do you guys ever use real polo sticks? I can get these short, just the right size for bike polo (in fact I can get them made to the inch). They cost about £35. Please let me know if you or anyone else would be interested.

    Cheers,

    J

hi there made my first polo stick at weekend, well actually my second as my first one was a mop handle and wood, it didnt quite cut it, anyway i picked up a pair of ski poles at decathlon for £7.95 and aquired some water piping,

cut down the ski pole a little and the hammered a couple of inches of wood into the cut off end to plug it up.

drilled through the top of the pipe and then countersunk the inside aswell so the pole can sit in it, the pipe was thick enough

then countersunk the outside of the pipe and stuck 1 long screw through it, seems to be holding up well in practice,

oh i also cut off the ski grip because it was hard and replaced it for an old bmx grip and then hammered a bar plug in the end, i use the strap that came with the ski pole as well,

sorry if this is abit patronising but i know i had trouble in the first place and just wanted to share!

  • J, im sure we would be interested... we would be very interested if you could:
