re: the Masi
but the fixie inc. isn't straight either. nitpicking, but hey what else is this place for?

I don't think I like ANY of the bikes in this thread. Sloping top tubes, threadless headsets, silly colours.
Ok you can close the thread now, I've passed my opinion.

Hey Edscoble, have you noticed this before, .........the "detachable" seatstay on the Fixie.Inc.?
I only just noticed it. Or do I need to get to SpecSavers even faster?
-

The detachable seat stay is for swapping belts.
Nothing wrong with slopping top tube on the right bike.
Such as all the ones on this thread.
I'm 5'7", and tend to prefer a slopping top tube to crushed nuts (my perfectly fitted (horizontal tt)Bob jackson frame only has about 1cm clearance). You can go too far though.

I have notice it actually, and I'm blind as a bat! how else do you think they were able to put the belt in?

Try the Fixie.Inc website. There may be clues there.

I think it should be pointed out, that the rims are actually wood. And yes, Fixie.Inc say that the bike, with rims are for sale......though no price is given.

Masi/Haro have been busy............
And they've served up what I think is the nicest range of OTP steel bikes at the moment. (Condor no longer advertise OTPs)

I saw a VANMOOF bike the other day and it looked like a proper commuter/shopper bike, alloy frame. A modern version of the Dutch granny bike. They're €398 + €30 for shipping.
Has anyone on here got one, seen one, opinions welcome.

i've only seen one guy riding one of those. saw them in velorution and quite liked them, the intergrated front light was a nice touch

I reckon it'd be a good wet weather bike. Solar powered LED light seem a good idea, I read somewhere that it weighs 13.5kg, seems excessive. Wouldn't mind having a go on one though.

I saw one of these for sale on the lower ground floor in Selfridges and then one locked up just now, it looks like a good bike apart from the hideous top tube. They are £380 from Velorution btw.

Polo/Pub/Beater-licious
If that's not as straight as needs be, then I'm off to SpecSavers.
