Ha, well one and the same really. Not really all that exciting but getting a chain properly jammed in between hub flanges and cassette was not the way I'd expected my ride to go this morning. After about 10 minutes of trying to jimmy it lose I gave up and broke the chain either side of the snare and put it back together on the small ring.
Was odd riding - freewheel was snarled so fixed, but with some lag. Managed to limp back to a shop - remove the cassette and then the links, and then home.

An eventful morning! Still nicer than being in a car I recon

We did something similar on the third day of last year's tandem tour. Being chased up a hill in southern Belgium by a Jack Russell. Only we managed to get the chain out with some screwdriver-jiggling. But the spokes were done for. One went ping every other day for the next two weeks. fml.

It was like 600 degree incline. It was also dark and the mud was in a shadow so I couldn't see it...
