Cycling in a hoodie seems seriously flawed to me.
Wind drag and vision issues, over and above the style issue... -

Its not something i would get myself, but a hood is most usefull in London Town . .

as mentioned above, the swrve milwaukee hoodie in the softshell 3000 is v. nice. I'm now the proud owner of one, in stealth ninja black, with a couple of base layers underneath, it'll be perfect once the temperature drops a couple more degrees.
and at only £95 its not as expensive as others, haven't had it long enough to comment on the build quality but right now it feels really well made, and most of the aspects of it seem really well thought out...
can't recommend it highly enough -

Yo Corny, what made you go for the Softshell 3000 over the Goretex?
I am quite up for one of these puppies, but want to get the right material.

went for the softshell because the blurb on the website see below, seemed to point to that as being the right one for me, I generally tend to not need to wear that much riding in the winter and have survived with just a base layer and an old long sleeved winter castelli top, so didin't want anything that was too thick or sweat inducing.
**The softshell 3000 hoodies has bonded fleece breaths better and have a nice four way stretch when compared to the Gore Tex , which is a little more water resistant. The softshell 3000 is great for cold wet weather.**

North Face snowboarding jackets sort of fit the bill...

North face make a jacket that is lightweight shell, with special pockets so that you can stuff them with grass/paper/whatever you have to hand if you get too cold, inorder to provide insulation

Nomis, another snowboarding brand, do a heated hooded top, that lasts for 8 hours between charges and is fully washable, i have tried it out and its a great piece of kit, though no idea how it would hold up in the long term

The Gore Swrve is great, just not very breathable so it can get a bit sticky... Super waterproof and I can get away with just a t-shirt under it in the winter... Quite a stiff fabric tho', the softshell version seems to have a bit more give in the material... And it comes in black, which makes it better...

Me neither, would be better if the printing was a big bigger, maybe the entire jacket printed Eddie style.

I remember quite enjoying Blaze's first band, Wolfsbane, back in the day... Monumentally moronic... I do love stoopid rock music...
