Can't believe Stephen Hawking had succumbed to Go Compare...
Nah, he's done quite a few adverts (and loads of cameos in TV shows). Even if the ads are shit, it's nice to see someone that doesn't take themselves too seriously.

I just watched this and it made me angry. Jumping on the bandwagon that left two years ago.

Can't find a clip but the new E45 cream advert is dark! It starts with a woman in a dark room with her face obscured talking about having her "first dose" and how it changed her image then big haha she's talking about moisturiser not heroin. Oh the hilarity..

^ That's great. Love Nimoy doing the Hobbit bit, very cool.
^^That's nice too, made for awards by looks of it, but nice.

But are you posting it as good, bad or ugly ?

I think it's good. Obviously it isn't groundbreaking, but it's lighthearted and the comedic aspects are visually accessible. Essentially the message is to ride your bike, ok, maybe more give us your money, but I do feel ever so slightly better off for seeing it.

Interesting that you use the word 'groundbreaking'.
Yeah, it's alright. But the work produced for Halfords so far is pretty disappointing by the agency's standards. Especially when they (Halfords) lauded it as a 'game-changing' idea for their business.
We lost the pitch for this work, so I'm taking it too personally ;) But I was annoyed on seeing it, 'cos our work and positioning was better than this. Still, you win some, you lose some. I just don't know where we lost this one.

I did read your comment above, but the only take-away message I got, is that you are, Don Draper.

I wish. No I don't.
Well, I've never watched Madmen, so I dunno...

budget
I can almost certainly say it wasn't budget. We aren't a London agency. Our costs would have been lower.
I'm thinking reputation.
