I was going to get some SPD's, but you're saying they're not all that?

Edit. the Sidi's come in a standard and wide fitting too.

M540 pedals and Diadora cheapo shoes.

Sidi dominator and Atac Alium, way better than SPD. My knees don't hurt with Atac and I don't fall over because I can't unclip so thats two wins over stupid SPD.

i rode spd's for a bit, then followed the crowd and got some atacs, the main difference i find is you don't have the risk of unclipping with atacs and feel very secure
spds are generally good, until they get worn out, and there are also the occasions with dodgy pedals, me and horatio both had a set that would always unclip
i've got some spds you can try out, to compare the two

And the atacs that Seb is currently using are knackered (third hand ebay purchase and then mountain biked on by yours truely).

They are better if set up with the cleats to min float!

I just bought some northwave lizzards, and shimano 540's last night.
......skidding is so much easier....i almost wore a whole tyre out riding round and round my block trying to perfect my clipless sidding technique last night. much bettermy girlfreind doesn't like the noisy shoes on wooden floorboards in the morning.....
it's ok though.....i told her to shut up, and get her ass in the kitchen. -

it's ok though.....i told her I love her even when she's got bed-hair and diahorrea, and even then she wiped the floor with my ass.fixed

it ain't that dark dude. when i saw the thread title i thought you were getting a geared bike! as i will be v soon
Cool stuff! Did the high end spec in the pyrenees inspire you?
-

I run these + These
And they work really well.Just a thought, chris

Them two fellas that managed to unclip whilst sprinting at the track day were both on SPDs I think?
-
• #42
Remember reading something that SIDIs are a little off in there sizing? is that up or down?
-
• #43
you should try time, eggbeaters are shit in comparison. They might look pretty, but they are floaty and indirect.
The whole point I bought them was for the float, had knee ops! I would think the only reason people buy peadals with float is because they need them for sore knees? Also, they have near unbeatable stack hight, I love mine, but the bearings could be better quality?

I did use the search function, but then I decided I wanted some personal service from you. It's all about me!
Because I'm a princess.
Cheers
I'm looking to go with those cheap ass pedals which are about £30. Sound reasonable?

Have Sidi Dominators (for a bargain 1/3 off on sale at the LBS) gathering dust while I wait for Speedplay Frogs on order!
Should've just got the Time Atacs, but I went all Hipster as I didn't like the look of them! :(
Flame at will !!
+1 for speedplay frogs. Simply because they are expensive, black and no other fucker has them ;-)
(or because you have foot turn out problems and need unsprung float in your pedal connection)

Ha! I've just finished my new build with Sidi dominators, ATACs, and, wait for it, GEARS. Nine of the fuckers too.
I've even taken to practicing clipping in and out in my corridor when the lady isn't about. Weird to begin with (as was fine tuning a derrailleur: WTF?!) but now kind of amusing. As is walking in the buggers.

Sano. What size are your feet? I have a pair of size 42 Sidi Blaze available. PM if you're interested.
Welcome to the RIGHT side! :)
I ride Sidi Dominators and Shimano M540 SPD's.
Shoes are super nice, easy to walk in and last forever.
Pedals are easy to get in & out of but never released when I dont want them to!
Enjoy!
