  • bingo "gringo"

  • could work quite well at train station lock ups, people will read anything while bored on the train.

  • so something more generic....

    Good work sir! +1

  • try advertising mainstream but on a level that's cost effective..

  • Spot on would be hard for the authorities to argue to take down given the recent deaths or if we can do something in conjuntion with councels or TFL to get them to sponsor or pay for them. It would be better for all if this was official rather than fly by night. Official but deigned by people who ride rather than Health and Safety execs in Offices.

  • radio is a great way forward, it just takes interview or podcast & cool nerdy/stoner types to sort.

  • The trouble with the zip tie idea is that corrugated plastic is fooking pricey and there are councils with employees dedicated to taking down signs like this regardless of their message.

  • Like the idea of spoke cards getting little bits of safety information over simply and easily.

Maybe the forum could get funding using this http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/projectsandschemes/2457.aspx
especially as government organisations always like to be down with kids. Just don't turn up without brakes, lights, reflectors and a helmet asking for some green for a safety campaign :D

p.s. I work for LU TFL but I don't think that helps really.

  • Think whatever the medium, spoke card, poster, traffic light sign, it needs a simple message attached i.e. Keep clear of turning HGV's

Coz not everyone will get the full message.

  • +1 mumbler

  • At the top of the card it needs to say something like WHEN PASSING LORRIES, REMEMBER...

Then you could take the HGV out of the lorry image and the message would be much clearer. I often find that when working with designers they're incredibly good at making whatever it is look great but sometimes wander off when it comes to clarity of communication ;)

  • yes like james dean, quote; "kids just remember" does it ring home?

  • The trouble with the zip tie idea is that corrugated plastic is fooking pricey and there are councils with employees dedicated to taking down signs like this regardless of their message.

Damn them!..... God damn them all to HELL!!

  • Regarding the nicheness (nichosity?) of spoke cards, I'm really just talking about (laminated) postcards with a bit of info/a message on. Shove them wherever.

  • we've been let down here, pretty badly.. have you looked on the flood warning web site for london about flooding info, that is HOT tea.

  • they do "not" care

  • ARRRRRRGH!!!! Look at the comment some fucking IDIOT has posted on the news story about today

    "girv73ni (1 hour ago)
How awful! All those roads closed! Those poor, delayed drivers.

I think the news crew missed the point :( "

I have just sent a scathing message to him/her tellling them what a cunt they are.
Feel free to vent as well.

  • we're a minority, amongst the majority.

  • Scratch that, he was trying to say that the report focussed more on the delayed traffic than the cyclist killed. He just didnt word it very well.

  • how many e-mails did he get? Oops

  • I dunno, still seems like a prick to me. making sarcastic comments that are neither funny or sarcastic so he just looks like a cunt.

    Deserves a pasting.

  • get a "real" job don't be shy!

    (®®®®®®® petrol heads)

  • did you get his address?
