Reported Shebu pothole.

I'm gonna report another just to see what happens...

I read Filth At Hole.
(Which is actually probably less dirty than Fill That Hole)

I've finally got round to reporting the knackered in bits at the junction of Holloway Road and Camden Road and Holloway Road and Seven Sisters Road. It wouldn't be so bad if you weren't trying to avoid the potholes whilst also getting in lane amidst 3 lanes of traffic pulling off from the lights.
I imagine they'll never get fixed due to the logistics of closing the junction though.
They replied and told me it wasn't their responsibility as it's a TFL route.

Report stuff here:
It should be forwarded to the relevant authority.

Wow so I reported this yesterday 5pm
http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/hazard/92069
and it def wasn't fixed this morning.Had an update at 12:27pm today saying it has been fixed.
We shall see!
After I'm done, my commute is gonna be one slick ride...

You know they fix your potholes by taking tarmac from somewhere else, right? It doesn't grow on trees.
-
• #284
That might be the case oop north, but it's quite different down here. :)

Pothole Britain on Ch5 8pm
Sounds like an awesome night in

I was just thinking about pothole reporting and using egotagged (that's my version of geotagged) photos to speed up the reporting process. Seems I've already been beaten to the punch by the CTC: http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/iphone
There's an Android app coming soon apparently.
-

I report on average two potholes a day using that app, my maximum was 8. I am the pothole police. Tfl and Lewisham council tend to send an email thanking you for the attention and are the most diligent with road repairs. You even get to tag a picture of the crater if you can be arsed to stop in the middle of the road when you notice it.

Just reported one on Brixton Road (junction with Groveway) so see how long it takes

I'm going to get much more active with these. Reported some Shebu, some in Acton, some on the A40 out past Denham.
I think I've asked this before but it'd be good if I could quickly mark points on a Garmin 800 so I could come back to them after a ride and report them.

Reported one on Cliveden Road and a big trench across Uxbridge Road near Pole Hill Road. There's quite a lot more out there but I can't remember them all.
-
• #292
And why not - another two near Potkiln Lane on the A40, London-bound.
So, if anyone wants to go out and ruin some wheels and have the council pay for them... ;-)

It'll take fucking forever because Lambeth council are notoriously bad at acting on pothole reports.
fillthathole has a nice little league table that shows how good/bad authorities are at sorting them out once reported: http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/league-table

Once it has been reported, if someone hurts themselves on it or they damage their bike then they're fucked - they can't claim they didn't know about it.
-
• #295
Yep. That relies on the person who hurt themselves knowing about the reports in the first place, though, which is one of the reasons why this site and its app are so good. Ultimately a lot of councils would prefer to do fuck all so it's nice to know this site exists.
-
• #296
True. You can always crash, ruin a rim, report the cause.. wait.. if it's not fixed then claim. Or you could self-immolate in the reception of the local council.

The one I reported on Pentonville Road has been filled.
-
• #298
Can you come to Lambeth and start reporting there to see if your magic works elsewhere please.
-
• #299
South of the river? Steady on..
I'll be reporting as many as I can remember from now on. I've fucking had enough. I shouldn't need to wear a kidney belt just to ride a bike around nor should I have to pay for wheels ruined by shitty, ill-maintained roads.

Here is my report - including picture and stating it is a hazard for cyclists. Bussed it in today so will check it out tomorrow. I like my wheels too much to try the theory of smacking into it
On the flipside it took the trench out on the A413 about 3 years to be repaired.
There's some evil ones on Shepherds Bush green west-bound. Outside the Walkabout. I need to report them.
