    how is it all ''downstairs"

    in a word.... SLOPPY

bit like a bucket full of mouldy yoghurt and crumbly faeces.

  • That was awesome.
Although I think we're the first back and at home due to two things:
    1) We live at Kew Bridge
    2) At Putney we got bored of waiting at every bridge for 15 minutes, and just zoomed off to Hammersmith, Barnes, Chiswick and home.
But it was a fantastic ride, some really great company, perfect weather... couldn't really ask for more.

hehe slackengers! Good to see you two out on the bikes.

Full moon, nice weather - well fucking timed whoever picked the date! :)

  • favorite thing ever: the sound of 150 bikes rolling over the millenium bridge

    That was wicked!
I've got some shitty camera phone vid of a bit of it.

  • Awsome ride everyone. I am fucked today though.

  • Great ride rolling back from Hammersmith everyone. Thanks to Hippy, I think, for leading the charge back from the A4 to Kew.
    +1 thanks to organisers.

I dunno, maybe, I think I was following benanza most of the time.
It was good to get a bit of a speedier splitter bunch going on :)

  • great to see so many people out and about

    see ya all soon.

  • Ouch. Was that on the ride or after it? You ok?

Spaghettihoops man.. how are you today? You went down fucking hard. You ok?

    James.. how's the tweed? ;)

How many people did an unclip/0kph fail last night? :)

  • being awed by the sight of Hippy's calves :)

    Cheque's in the mail..

Did we meet? Introduce yourself next time!*

*If you did, sorry, I'm shit with remembering anything

  • it says a few posts up you lazy bastard!

well.....super gutted i had to veer off at vauxhall, but after that crash my shoulder was just too fucked.
just got back from A&E, and i some how managed to break my collar bone AND crack my shoulder blade in two, trying to sleep last night was fucking agony, but i got the codeine now, and i'm feeling pretty sweet. No riding for 6 weeks though.
thanks to all who helped me out, hippy jaygee dandyhorse fluff and the rest.
BIG thanks to elguapo for my massage, it enabled me do a couple bridges at least.
hopefuuly the next one isn't such an epic fail on my part!
maybe see some of you at souths tomorrow.

i'm doin allright cheers mate, thanks for your help.
gutted about no riding for 6 weeks tho!

  • A few pics (shit quality) and more HERE.

Ow! Fuck man! From the way you were moving I was expecting you to have torn a muscle and be a bit bruised up or something.. you didn't complain anywhere near enough for doing that amount of damage! Fuck.. no good! :(
I still cringe when I hear the sound of bike + road.
Hope you mend good and quick dude.

  • Ouch SpagBol, didn't realise it was that bad!

  • spaghetti - lame news dude, sorry to hear you took such a tumble.

    Fuck yeah!

  • Another video for those with 360 degree rotatable screens. The ride back east via Pickled willy. I realise now that watching it on a screen bigger than a matchbox isn't great. Oh well i'm over it. Is there any free/shareware video editing software for Mac's about? iMovie isn't playing.
    YouTube - Kew and home

  • great time last night fixed/ss riders !

    many highlights

personal low was after the ride in i popped my rear at hyde park and walked my bike back through oxford street @ 3am plenty of funny [pissed up] things to look at. see you at the next one !

  • Memories;

Dude stacking it into the back of a black cab in Parliament Sq
Simon J stacking it into a curb in the dark, tearing his right clip off it's pedal
    Hippy's squeaking cunt

  • @spaghetti: WTF? you said it was getting a bit sore to pull the brake.

    You sir are nails.

  • Excellent ride (my first with you folks), fantastic time had too - big thanks to those who organised it and I hope all those who 'failed' are alive and well! It was great to put some names to faces (tho I have forgotten most already so will have to make sure I make the next ride too) +1 on the millennium bridge and the fast ride back East was awesome / surreal, (shame I live South Ken - could have happily carried on East)! In fact the only downer for me was whoever insisted on winding up the Security bird at Trafalgar Square...unnecessary, still takes all sorts I guess! Ride safe until the NEXT TIME!!!

  • Does anyone know who the lil kid showing some crazy bike handling skills?

i think his name's keanu. dunno if he's on here. him and his dad were at the alleycat yesterday, too. they show up to trix night sometimes. mad skillz...

  • Great ride especially on some of those dual carriage ways before Kew. Ride back was rapid!

  • spaghetti hoops - "yeah, it's getting a bit sore to pull the brake…"

haha, I'd forgotten about that, he just veered towards the concrete wall in the dark. "Rider Down" swiftly followed by "Rider back up again"! I should stop laughing at people's crashes, I think I even told Spaghetti to HTFU as it was right at the start of the evening.

  • The sight of so many bikes was truly great, a there were some lovely sounds too - apart from the hum and click/clatter of massed bicycles, I loved the whirring sound over the millenium bridge, and the sudden peace when we turned onto and the first bridge west enough to be away from the traffic in town.

I hadn't realised there had been all those crashes tho'; and some nasty sounding ones too. Recover quick y'all.
