disco, house, techno, funk, soul, bit of everything really.
i've been playing for about 7-8 years. can provide references and venues/countries i've played in.

  • I'm looking for a job that is basically monday to friday, I dont mind working weekends as long as it's not evenings. I will consider anything. I have good basic computer skills, clever-ish, and never sleep in. I've worked in cafes, pubs, a supermarket, landscaping and gardening

I'm sick of working 55 - 65 hours a week and not having time to do anything. If anyone knows of an office junior job, admin, warehouse, or anything not connected to making food on an evening, that would be awesome

  • I put myself through uni by working in the presentation graphics department of a large investment bank. This involved formatting powerpoint presentations to the bank's template, updating charts with new data, etc. - all very easy stuff. The plus side is that it's really well paid; the downside is that it is really, really soul destroying work.

Not sure what the demand for this is in this type of economy, but worth looking into, as every big bank, law firm, insurance firm, etc. employs folks like these. I worked through Adecco, but there are loads of temping agencies running these sorts of gigs.

  • Theres a part-time Graphics and Website Assistant job going where I work.

  • god knows why they put in on gumtree?!
There hasn't been that many 'actual' applicants considering viewing numbers, hence why I put it on here, don't let it put any of you off.

  • Any project managers or junior web developers looking for a contract role, based between Westminster and Victoria?

I've a friend who's recruiting for a small start up.

    PM me if you're interested.

  • thanks teapots, sounds pretty cool place to work but i'm looking for full time really, a shame because I think I'd be alright at it

  • hey all, thank goodness this thread has been revived a little!

My gf has finally decided to pack in her surveying engineer job in Nottingham, and is moving in with me in about a month, which will bring pure joy to our lives since the company treated her not so good and she's wanted to live in London for YEARS.

So she'll be looking for an office-type job in the civil engineering sector for then. She has GIS mapping and CAD experience, an MEng Civil Engineering, MSc in environmental management and earth observation, and 2 years in the working world as an engineering surveyor on the railways under her belt.

She'll take any temping job (I've sent her that tatty devine one), but ideally anything in the engineering biz would be a bonus. A permanent position would be the cherry on top.

    Cheers,

    Tash

  • I've spent 5 or so months looking for work, and have been scraping by on JSA.

Anyone know of any job oppertunities open or hopefully anyone that can hook me up with something? I'm extremely flexible with days and times available. Full time or Part time, or whatever I can get.

I haven't had any luck at all with anything, I've applied for all sorts of jobs, retail, admin, cleaning. Finding it hard.

    I have a BA Hon's.
With more than a years experience in Fashion/Portrait Photography.
    Experience with 3D architectural design.
And some experience in Administration work.

I'll take anything on, even a cleaning job.

    PM me, e-mail, or phone.

  • "post VACANCIES here" ???????

Without the requests, the thread would fall to the bottom of the pile and nobody would post any vacancies...would they?
Can I share your job? ;-)

  • i know, just being silly.

i might be in a similar situ. soon too.

  • We are looking for someone on a temp basis that has good knowledge of PHP and Magento Ecommerce platform. knowledge of access and asp would be of great help as well.
(and you get trade prices on cycle/outdoor gear) PM me for full details.

  • Got details of a seven month post covering someone's sabbatical - managing a project that helps formerly homeless people find sustainable employment, working with the team that sorts out housing and accommodation issues. Based in Tower Hamlets, salary in mid to high 30s, deadline is 27 Jan. PM me for details.

  • Sounds awesome, but I suspect it requires a lot of experience?
