Ummm,
Does anyone know of any medically related jobs going this year in London.
Can be anything from hospice care to medical receptioning.
don't mind, need a quick simple job to tide me over whilst UCAS is on its way through.
Was going to do a season as a patroller and still might, all very confusing timewise... -

editorial? there's always editorial roles.
or do you want more frontline stuff?
-
• #257
what kind of patroller?

We sometimes have a couple of days/weeks work for intern type people here (editorial - pharma/med ed), also looking for full-time assistants, editors, senior editors at the moment.

what does 'editorial' mean in terms of medicine?
Editing scientific journals?

it means Ed talks to you about bob jacksons in a dictatorial manner.

In terms of the place I work, it means technical editing/medical writing in medical/pharma journals, books, supplements, proceedings, web, multimedia (video & 3D), clinical trials, educational programs etc. Also do PR, so occasionally some work in brand promotion and event management for variety, so I get to do quite a bit of travelling in Europe for work, which is a bit different to most places.

Wasn't eyebrows looking for something medical-y for jobs the other day?

Any chance your company might be looking for a junior web/multimedia/marketing person/intern? :)

konijn, anything part time ish? i've got a mate who's looking for some general office work while they're finishing of their masters. (not sciencey though)

Yeah. Well I can't keep track of where eyebrows posts. He is everywhere. And nowhere. Such is the nature of eyebrows.
Anyway - as a head's up to the creative students - I hope to get an internship approved towards month end. Will post here first.

Full-time only I'm afraid. A life sciences degree (or in progress for interns) is a strict requirement for editorial stuff unfortunatley, and events and design people need a related degree or good industry CV.

If you've got related experience on your CV let me know, I'll ask.

Hello all - slightly wrong thread I realise, but thought I'd ask anyway...
Does anyone know of any Surveying Engineer or possibly Photogrammetry/GIS jobs going at the moment? The Engineering jobmarket in London is seemingly dry at the moment, but with all the work going on in London at the moment there MUST be something around? My partner has been looking for almost a year now, and it's getting us both down that she's still in Nottingham and I'm here in London. Boo.
She has an MEng in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Earth Observation, and currently works on the railway as an Engineering Surveyor so has all of that kind of experience too.
Any takers please PM me, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Great! Thanks soooo much. Yup, I've got relevant experience and am just into the third year of my degree (which is also relevant).

anyone looking for technical consultants or engineers? preferably film/post/media.

I can always use an intern if anyone wants to get some analyst experience. Would suit student / new grad with good analytical skills with interest in internet / technology sector. Couple of days a week, unpaid for a couple of months duration. You would be working on a specific piece of analysis with a "deliverable" at the end of it, not just making me coffee. Central London based with secure bike parking and showers.
PM me if interested.

I know, I know - wrong place, but I'm desperate to kick my youth out of the house.
Before I browse through the ads on Gumtree, is there anybody who knows about a very part time job (Mondays and Saturdays prefered) for a not very clued up 16yo girl who "study" art/film at the college? East-ish London prefered. I don't want her to slack around all day doing nothing.
