We have a few vacancies at the furniture design/manufacture company I work for. Great company, treat employees well, big on cycling, we even have our own summer and winter jerseys (which you would receive).
Anyway positions are:
PHP developer
*You will be developing high-quality PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, whilst working as a member of a small and multi-functional technical team. You will work with the Communications team to deliver improvements to the website and liaise with staff to maintain and improve our in-house software.
You will have some experience developing MVC-based PHP applications, and the ability to build a great MySQL database schema, as well as experience with jQuery or similar JavaScript framework. You take a healthy interest in code performance and cleanliness. You have awareness of test-driven development and an eye for design, usability and web standards.*
Workshop assistant
*You will be preparing, assembling and packing orders ready for dispatch. Your role is one of the most important: if a customer receives their order on the other side of the world and is missing a vital component, we all know how upset they will be.
You might have honed your skills (manual dexterity, an ordered and tidy mind, and the ability to use simple engineering tools with care and precision) in a workshop or tinkering in the shed. Computer and software literacy is a must.*
Both jobs will be based in Camden at our base, big kitchen for lunches, shower and secure bike parking.
PM me for further details.

Another vacancy:
Customer Service (again!)
Company is a lead generation Marketing company called MVF Global (eagle-eyed readers will see there's been a rebrand), based in Kentish Town, really nice place to work, plenty of cyclists in the office too.
Job involves replying to emails, changing client accounts, using an online based user interface, and speaking to some people on the phone. It's not a call centre job where you're on the phone all day, but you would be expected to make some calls to customers and clients in your average day. Full job spec being finalised this week.
If you think you can manage that and you're looking for a new job, or you're out of work, fire over a CV to:
Looking for people who are open to change, a bit of quick thinking, and plenty of initiative.
If you are interested send over your CV now but please bear in mind these won't be looked at until the first week of Jan so don't expect a response until then.
