The diodes, or lamps containing them?
Orsam is the most probable, off the top of my head.Orsam's factories blurb, doesn't mention LEDs: http://www.osram.com/osram_com/sustainability/sustainable-production/our-factories/europe/index.jsp
only in german:

This Kickstarter Project looks like a pretty good idea! Integrated rear light and HD camera.

^ nice idea, touch expensive though and only any good if you survive beinv hit from behind.

Trafficdroid would buy it

That's the worst kickstarter I've seen.

I have a Blackburn Flea 2.0 USB rear light which I really like, is there an equivalent front that is designed to clip onto a bag strap?
I have seen the Blackburn front light that is part of the same set but it is designed to go on the handle bars- I'm after something that clips to a bags shoulder strap to give a high level light.
In an ideal world I'd like an exact copy of the rear light but with white LED's.

Perhaps...

Strobe only and not USB chargable so probably not.

I have also been looking for something similar.
plenty of USB rear lights that clip onto a bag, but less front ones.

Dammit I think the Lezyne Zecto does that and also comes with both red and white to choose between.
The pro offers the choice but they come in both front and rear options too.

The other small Lezyne lights (femto I think they're called) have the same clip.

I've got the Femtos and Fleas (sounds bad) and the Femtos are not as bright nor USB rechargeable.

Bit late, but the exposure tracer is usb and will work on straps...
Don't see why you'd choose to put it on something that moves relative to the ground like a strap when it's so easy to put on bars though?

I bought a lezyne zectro for the rear: nice and bright, rechargeable, easy to fit/take off but not cheap.. thought it sounded perfect for my commute so I splashed the cash.
Avoid!
It failed to hold a charge after 3 rides i.e. i had to keep it on the charge until i needed it... 2 rides later it wouldn't turn on at all... crap! Apparently it's a common problem, not even going to bother asking for a replacement it went straight in the bin. I've now got a knog boomer on the back I might get through a few batteries but need a light that will be reliable and it's bright enough tbh.

That recent picture made me realised It's barely visible if they ride very close to the kerbs.
A driver can barely just about see it if it's more than a couple metres ahead of his bonnet.

Are they even riding in that picture. Looks like they are walking.
Ridiculous gimmick that some fools may buy -

No elephants but the odd horse
Surely drivers seeing green will just go, and then flatten the cyclist. You'd have to be an idiot to use one of those. You'd certainly look one.
