  • ^^I dunno about that, I've looked directly into both and they seemed the same, that's science right there. The forum was probably one of those torch junkie ones, I'd guess if they have the same LED in then they are more or less the same unless one is using the batteries faster, which might not be a good thing, the PX one is plenty bright anyway.

  • Selling my Hope Vision 1 if anyone is interested? £30.

My friend could very well be interested in this. Will send you a PM.

  • Comes with the bracket, but only one of four rubber bits remain. Fine if you have fat handlebars though. Tried to get replacement bits, but they only sell whole new brackets. Used about five times.

  • 1.5m is the max height for a light, so helmet ones are fine when TTing, but not when hipstering about on risers.

For a main light, you can have a secondary light in almost any position as long as it doesn't blind road users and it's white to the front and red to the rear.

  • Finally decided to get another Moon (comet) product for the rear, and one that actually works well with the seatpost and saddle position for the Canyon V-Drome.

Initially I did have an exposure rear light, but unfortunately it wasn't as bright and the positioning of the mount is limited due to the amount of clearance and rail you have at the back.

But with this Moon Comet I've been very impressed with the flare and intensity so far =)

  • So basically with the tiny mudflap, you're directing water toward the Comet.

    Good thinking.

  • Should be alright...I hope! :s

  • Should be alright...I hope! :s

Don't. I have the same one in same position as you. While they are nicely waterproof, they will not take the amount of water falling off the mudguard. I found out the hard way.

  • also doesn't the mudflap obscure the light? from any line of sight behind and a bit higher than you...

  • Doesn't look too bad, considering how bright the Comet are, best to removed the mudflap and dress like a nodder.

  • As Ed states, probably best to remove the ass-saver, it's already a track bike so not much point to get a proper mudguard due to amount of time I have to get the wheels on and off for the track, just seems a little pointless and tedious...just need to MTFU I guess.

  • For a cheapo light this is sweet, has one of the cree LEDs in and has done me well for nearly a year.

    +1

  • What is the best rechargeable and reasonably priced front light around? Had enough of lights needing 4XAAA and separate battery packs with tons of wire wrapped around frames.

  • exposure trace?

  • Anyone have any experience of the Lezyne Zecto lights?

  • I always have 2 sets of lights (bike and head mounted), so have redundancy that way.

  • make sure to quidco it if you're getting from evans

  • if its wiggle you get 3% cashback on top of discount innit

  • The exposures look so nice. But I think I'm going to get a -

pretty much entirely for the second battery.

If I end up doing much off road I'll get some sort of Exposure for the helmet.

    £150 a lot of money for a 3 emitter 2 cell light.

Wouldn't you rather buy three Magicshine clones for less than £20 each posted from any UK ebay seller? 1 Cree XM-L T6, 4 cells.

  • On my Superdrive I had to replace the clamps bolt with a normal allen bolt to enable me to apply a little more torque. No matter how tight I tightened the clamp with the supplied bolt the light was susceptible to rotating left/right on vibration. Works fine now and I use a short handle hex key so I cannot over torque it.

  • I got a Lezyne Deca drive for christmas, it's powerful piece of kit, if a bit chunky. The main drawback, as highlighted in pretty much every review of it, is the bar clamp which will work itself loose over a few hours of road riding. Also, the light can swivel from side to side when attached, which is a useful (though now pretty standard) feature, but doing so gradually loosens the thumb screw of the clamp. This is with the supposedly 'better' metal clamp that comes with the loaded version, so I'd hate to think what the plastic one is like.

The light itself is pretty damn good, the high setting is overkill for any of the road riding that I've done with it, but would probably be pretty good for mountain biking. It's about half the price of the equivalent powered exposure light (probably the Strada or Race) which isn't insignificant...

  • I've got a Lezyne light with one of the plastic clamps, which suffers from the same issues. I found it helped immensely when I replaced the supplied bolt with a hex head bolt. You can apply more torque and only a little more is required to keep the thing still. Don't over torque though.

  • Anyone got a Cateye 135 or 155 rear lens for sale?
Fucking annoying they don't sell these spares

  • My Exposure Flare keeps switching off. I've cleaned it thoroughly and that helped but did not fix it.
Considering a Lezyne Micro to replace it. Reasons not to?
