  • Could be water damage, the same thing happened to mine and when I opened it up the electronics were all corroded.

  • Did you open the light or the charger...?

I can't imagine it will be water damage, I'vee been off the road with wheel issues for a week or two and haven;t had a good dousing in ages.

  • The light, it required a hacksaw.

  • Had the same problem with my Flea, wasn't impressed after 6 months.

  • CRC sent me an immediate replacement which arrived the next day. I don;'t really care if they'll keep on sending me brand new lights.

Blackburn lights have a lifetime warranty

  • ^Same here, my front one died recently after 4 months use, CRC sent me a new one next day, they didn't want the old one back.

  • Yeah, but it's pretty shit innit? They ought to work.

I've got a little bit of folded Post-It note which I use to wedge the light upwards on the charger a bit. They don't seem to charge when resting on the little nubbin on the USB charger, but if you lift them slightly they seem to charge OK. Maybe give that a go.

Also, I've got two USB chargers. Sometimes one will work when the other doesn't. I have no idea what's going on here, other than it can probably be chalked up to some kind of kinky voodoo.

  • thanks 4 the post 4 weeks ago , still have not decided 2 , anything

  • you can't decided which of the two in your four?

  • The HOPE District 3 Rear Light is finally on sale, at £85.oo minimum.

Works with battery pack, or self-contained.

  • I got the cheap ebay light recently and it works a treat, nice and bright. Downsides are it eating up 3 AAAs, though I will get some rechargables soon. Also no side visibility which was mildly annoying. I also use a smart lunar on the back, for such a small light it packs a punch. The end.

    That's exactly what happened.
Emailed CRC saying that the lil flea had stopped taking a charge, they sent me out a new one. Didn't want the old one back.
Turns out that it's the USB charger that is minced so I now have two fleas and one charger, which has resolved the 5hr battery life issue.

    use one/charge one

It's the little things in life.

should i get the exposure charger or some other third party? i know photographers use these batteries too.

  • I have one from Amazon (7dayshop I think). Yours for a fiver.

I also have one of these: Conrad CR123A.

Tenner for both? They're both unused but open packaging.

The charger can do two batteries.
