Tried to book a 9.30 start, got given an 8.30 start. Even the internet thinks I'm slow.

Same start time as me, we can have a race.

Oh balls, I picked 10am because I am a lazy toad and live Norf - not because I'm fast!
Do I have to outrun the broom wagon now? :(

^ If you're not happy I think you can go in and amend your start time if you would like. I changed my emergency number and that appeared to be an option.
But from my experience you need not worry about the broom wagon Rod.

plus the start times aren't strictly enforced. Note that it says "approx" when choosing. I think the organisers are slightly
concerned about too many people leaving at the same time and clogging the roads out of Herne Hill -

You can start when you want. Times are only a guide.

As skinny reckons you can start whenever I've booked for 9:30 as I'm coming from outside NW London. If you guys (meaning inchpincher and yourself) are alright with that.

It's a funny time of year to dress for- you don't want to boil on the bike but then you don't want to freeze when standing around.
I acknowledge that this is not an earthshaking observation.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this.

^^^ one of the best TNRCs I've ever done. 66 miles on a Tuesday night. I'd lot long started a new job, everyone there thought I was crazy.

I've entered! - 09:10 start but I'll turn up a bit early and start whenever.
British autumn riding is going to come as a bit of a shock after Kenya. I'll be in tights for the first time in 18 months!

Thanks for the offer - I might take you up on that, although it might be easier to come straight there in the morning as I have a young son. I'll make a plan with Ben.

And you did not even do the whole ride was why we missed the turn into Downe. Which proves that clintsmoker could get you lost anywhere, not only in Ingatestone.

I did this recently- lots of fresh chip'n'seal for the first 20 miles or so, which should hopefully have calmed down a bit now- there is one long climb that I had to contend with wheel-spin for most of.
I might do it this weekend coming actually if anyone fancies it?

Not been able to ride since Dunwich because of work, holidays, boozing and more work. I'll be the one hacking up and wishing I'd stayed in bed. -
