David, just to clarify--if you ignore a member, does that mean that you can't see comments that they've given to you using the comments function, as well?

It's because Object said a few days ago that he can't see a positive comment that I'd given to him (or rather, he claimed that I had not given it to him):

I just remembered that he said a while ago that he had me on ignore:

As this seems strange (the comment I gave shows up perfectly clearly in my UserCP and I know I gave it, anyway), I suspect a technical reason. Is it possible that he can't see the comment because he has me on ignore? Posts by people you have on ignore obviously don't disappear altogether, but what happens to comments by people you have on ignore?

EDIT: And I'll edit my earlier post to make it clearer, too.

If he's got you on ignore, then some things that you do will just be sent to /dev/null

This happens if you PM someone who has you on ignore, for example.

Can you clear something up for me please. What is this 'comment' feature you speak of? Is this rep? How does one give it or see if one has been given any? I have not put anyone or anything on ignore, nor do I believe I have any reason to think I have any comments made to me. I did find something in the 'read here before doing anything rule section', but am far too ignorant of this technology to fully understand.

If you go to your UserCP page and scroll down to the very bottom you'll see if anyone has given you any reputation I mean comments.

To give it you click on the comment button beneath the lucky recipients avatar.

if you want to big someone up, click the comment and add comment, if you want to diss them, click on report post.
go to your contol panel, scroll down to see any rep that people have given you,
