HowTo: Ignore anything and everything

There is a setting for accept public messages and accept private messages only from friends and contacts. In edit options.

If I ignore the Misc forum, is it possible to have my subscribed threads within that forum automatically unignored so I don't have to go through them manually? This may have been answered but I'm not reading above..

I don't know for sure but I don't think subscriptions are affected. I remember setting someone to ignore and having a subscribed thread made by them keep popping up in my usercp.

I know they appear in User CP but I'd like to have them unignored so I see them in the normal Post list.

No, ignoring is ignoring, subscribed threads act differently for alerts, but won't act differently on the searches.

So, no way to unignore threads within ignored forums, no matter if they're subbed or not. Ta.

If you ignore a whole group of things, then your only option to see updates of specific subsets of the larger set of things is to subscribe to the thread and watch it in your UserCp. If you choose not to do that, then you won't see the updates within the primary search results as you would have specified via the forum ignore that you wanted them excluded.
