Been meaning to confess about this for some time and need to get this of my chest before the years out.I flipped my wheel to freewheel during the year to see what it was like having always ridden my Cinelli fixed.
Within about 3 miles or so I stopped along the side of the road and flipped it back to fixed.
I found myself coasting at times feeling very out of control and didn't like it all.
It wont happen again..... -

I could actually feel my heart rate increasing when I was given a new potato peeler, whisk and spatula for Christmas.

When I was touring last year I used chamois cream on my face. There. I said it.

...i used my wife's very expensive (replenishing lipitides..wtf?!) face cream on my bib chafe, definite placebo effect ;D

Har. I've used gooch cream on my fingers before, when they've started to do that awful split and crack thing by my nails from sun exposure and rubbing against my brake hoods for hundreds of miles a week. Feels good, man.

Chatted to an lovely older lady last night in the pub and through my natural charm and good looks was offered toilet fun times. I confess I actually thought about accepting for a second.

You weren't so pissed that you failed to recognise your mother-in-law were you?

My mother-in-law was after a quicky? Another reason not to tell my wife.

I love the 7.5 tonne lorry my boss got, it allows me to be more intimidating to other road users "think your gonna cut me up mr BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES, (delete as appropriate) driver"

Took my 5 year old to the pool.
We raced to the other side (25 meters) I swam whilst he swam, hopped, dived (water was his shoulder height).
He had about 7 meter headstart each time.
He beat me every time after the 3rd race. -

I am worried that the next confession will be your kid rides a bike and runs, and that you have fathered a triathlete!
-
• #4144
Even if that were true, I'd never speak of it!

I once gave myself a black eye putting on an arm warmer.

It was a very exaggerated cross between applause and a dusting-your-hands-off motion.
Fuck knows. God did it to punish me.

I hit myself in the bollocks just yesterday trying to spin a cane and look fancy.
I had some cycle training today.
Had been meaning to do it for ages but finally got around to it especially as it is free as I work in Lambeth. Even luckier was that it was supposed to be a group session and there was only one other person signed up and they pulled out last night leaving me to have a 1-to-1 with the instructor.
Very useful to have most of my riding style/decisions validated (I don't have any confidence issues) but have a couple more things to work on (make the over the shoulder looks bigger and more obvious and really make eye contact with people behind, and a tweak to my road positioning when turning[1]). The emergency stop training was also useful as I'd never really thought about it all before; will look to practice it occasionally now.
Definitely recommended.
