Rear Window is fantastic and odd. My favourite so-far.

Kurosawa. Far far more influential than Hitchcock. Very different subject matter and styles though.

nerged. The final scene in Ran, where the blind guy is left on the ramparts is amazing and alone would make sitting through the preceeding 3 hours worth it if they weren't so damned awesome.
