  • Yes, I'm gonna have one now.

  • teabag -> boiling water
    done.

    Tea bag

Water onto teabag not teabag into water.

  • I agree. I mean't it in steps, not the actual motion.

  • Thankyou Clive, amazing the amount of people who don't understand this basic concept.

  • Strictly speaking i would go for:
Boiling water in mug, swill round to heat up the mug, then pour out.
    Then teabag, the boiling water.

  • Steep for not a second more or less than 4 mins.

If you take sugar, put it in with the bag so the hot water dissolves it fully.

    Milk to finish.

    BOOOOM!!!!!!

  • Water onto teabag not teabag into water.

This + No more ingredients = Done.

  • I need to pour the milk whilst the bag's still inside.
Anyone saying it's wrong can F off.

  • This + No more ingredients = Done.

Correct. Milk and sugar and lemon in tea are abominations.

If you must use milk, never put the milk in first.

  • Strictly, milk should go in first - saves one's porcelain.

  • Milk and sugar and lemon in tea are abominations.

    A bit like opinions.
I used to hate milk in tea, Mrs.Nuknow still does, still she puts lemon in,which I'm not very keen on.
    English breakfast = milk.
    Earl grey = Lemon.

  • Don't have milk *and *lemon.
    Bad times, i was young.

  • I like my tea with cream and sugar, FUCKING LOVELY AND IF YOU DISAGREE YOU CAN SHOVE IT UP YER FACE!

  • That's a real man, rite there^.

  • this is probably in teh wrong thread but fresh mint tea is really good for settling your tummy

  • I find this website very useful for keeping up to date with the latest developments and technology in the world of biscuits:
    http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com

The chap who runs it is very nice, I wrote a review for him once of the lesser spotted white bourbon.

Have loved this site for ages, particularly the Bourbon as an SI unit of measurement:

    • "Bourbons are also reassuringly uniform in size regardless of the manufacturer. Perhaps Bourbon biscuits could form the basis of an SI unit of measurement, with biscuits being measured in Bourbons e.g. the digestive has a diameter of 1.13 bourbons, or that ocean liner is 7.6 kilobourbons long, or wavelength of light emitted by that Argon/Krypton laser is 46.1 nanobourbons. I'm sure you see what I'm getting at."*

I prefer this to "the size of Wales" as a unit of measurement, as in, "An area of Amazon rainforest the size of Wales is cut down every....."

  • Peppermint relaxes the sphincter in the stomach, aiding digestion. That's what too many Extra Strong Mints gives you the craps.

  • Correct. Milk and sugar and lemon in tea are abominations.

    Yep.
I would extend that to any fruit.

  • this is probably in teh wrong thread but fresh mint tea is really good for settling your tummy

    Sounds like shit advice. ;)

    MOOooaar shite advice.

  • Milk goes into china cups first but only when using a teapot to brew the tea first.
If you put the milk into a cup first then tea bag/leaves and then hot water, then your watery milky mess won't be hot enough to extract the tea flavour, at least for black tea.

Why do some people put the milk in before removing the tea bag? Makes no sense to me.

  • Milk in with teabag strikes me as being the action of a barbarian.

    1. Swallow a tea bag
    2. Inject milk
    3. Sugar cube suppository
    4. Very hot bath
  • hmmm ....is swallowing a tea bag bad etiquette?

  • Only if u don't spit it.
