I was winding through traffic on my way up Kilburn High Road, and caught a very strong smell of weed from one of the cars I passed. They drew level with me going up Shoot-Up Hill, and there was a lad in passenger seat with a nice fat cone who was startled to see me looking down at him with a big grin on my face. I gave him the thumbs up, and at the lights at the top he wound the window down and offered me a quick toke.
Most gentlemanly, I thought.

At which point I presume they would have started to do heroin intravenously?

riding into work with the nodders, up sloane st to the junction of brompton road and knightsbridge, commence with operation practice trackstand at every light I come to, and its going well, apart from a couple of little wobbles. Hear a motorbike pull up behind me and some muttered comments, decide not to look over shoulder but turn comments in my head into "god thats amazing balancing on a stationary bike cool!"
Lights over the way change letting traffic roll down sloane st, but mine are still red, there's no traffic coming across the junction so I roll away up towards kensington road, pleased that I've held me trackstand for so long, when I get a beep on a horn behind me, look over my shoulder and see two motorcycle cops shaking their heads at me.
Fuck! Make the decision not to run, and slowly roll up the road, waiting for them to pull me over and to get either a lecture about them having to scrape me off road, or a fine, or both.
Coppers come through the lights, ride up beside me and tell me to look over my shoulder before jumping lights, and they were admiring my trackstanding skills, even with the couple of wobbles, both smiling and joking, and I wave them merrily on their way.RESULT! No Fine. No Lecture. And Operation Trackstand at every light was a success. Made my day.

Stopped at a red light heading east on New Oxford St just now. Bendy bus pulls up alongside me to the left. Driver (female, quite fit) says to me through her open window, "What are you waiting for? It's red but go for it! Go on, go!!" so I feign some disapproving horror and laugh, then take the piss out for her sitting in the ASL so she laughs too. Made my morning...
